Im amazed. Through the beautiful design you can see whole progression through all the resources from raw to the finest pinnacle of universe. Although its crazy complicated on paper, in this practical way it looks as so stuning simplification of something that at first glance isnt even comprehensible for a person thats plays this game for first time without any help and its just forcing through technology with sheer iron will of bravehearted engineer. I tried to design something like this for few last days, to just transit through the green science, it scrambled my brain 24 hours a day and couldnt let me sleep, in free time noting and calculating how to do this and now it feels like angels came down from engineering heaven to bless me. The biggest and hardest transition in the game made for everyone, without chasing bottlenecks and furiously glancing through all your facilities and blueprints and recipes. Truly amazed, respect. Thank you.

It's very impressive to get a build like the quantum chips working perfectly without checking the output rate, but you nailed it! With enough hydrogen, it pumps out 60 quantum chips per minute! Even without extra hydrogen it runs at 20 per minute.

For the fractionator build, I now do an infinite belt loop around each fractionator (looping back through the fractionator). Those belt-loops are fed from a passing belt via pile sorters - automatically tops the loop up to maximum stacking. It's quite nice in that we can fit 6 fractionators across the sub-tropical band of a planet. The output belt doesn't even go back into the PLS/ILS, only deuterium comes back in. No restacking or bypass input required. Build two-three lanes out as far as desired either side of a PLS/ILS and varoom masses of deuterium.
@darvtorman
@darvtorman 6 месяцев назад
I usually setup ILS's closer to the poles (avoiding primary building space), so one of them can request warpers and belt them into others. Which leaves all but 1 ILS with 5 slots. And using PLS's within one planet for transportation. Works great on both mining and production planets.
@TheDutchActuary
@TheDutchActuary 6 месяцев назад
This works great, especially for planets dedicated to only a few resources (You do need to ensure you build enough ILS's to keep up with the supply/demand though)
@jaybz0
@jaybz0 4 месяца назад
I found an issue with the 052 - Simple Deuterium Farm blueprint where if the ILS gets full of hydrogen either because you lowered the limit beyond what you already have or a logistics vessel overstocked your ILS, the hydrogen loops stop moving because the hydrogen inputs into the ILS stops. Removing the ILS from the hydrogen loops and just using the ILS to feed both "ends" of the loop fixes the issue.

13:29 I think there is a nasty pile sorter to the right of the Electric Motors exactly in the bend of the belt. Some motors get into the iron belt and jams the Particle Collider later.
@TheDutchActuary
@TheDutchActuary 6 месяцев назад
You are correct! I updated the blueprint already, took me a while to notice that in the copy'ing the wonky pile sorter still connected to a belt, but the wrong one.

The 050 Quantum Chip blueprint has one of the titanium assemblers (the one in the corner close to the glass smelters) missing a sorter for the output. Also thanks for another great video.

how are you producing so much energy on the ice planet? the quantum chips, lens production and the polar defense take so much energy, solar panels don't do much either because of the low intensity.
@TheDutchActuary
@TheDutchActuary 14 дней назад
Solar panel still provide quite a bit of power if you have enough of them, but the best way to get power is Deuterium Fuel Rods as soon as you unlock them.

Hey TDA just saying your videos are amazing! I have been following your masterclass videos for 38 hours (time i produced my first green science - yey!). Do you have a Patreon or something? You helped me immensly and i am eagerly looking forward to the teased video "interstellar mall" (i clicked it but couldnt watch *shocked" - probably will need to subscribe via YT meh!). Something i'd wish to see: some longer "follow along" videos, because sometimes you skip too fast and i need to pause the videos, play 3-5 hours to build your stuff (i dont use your Blueprint, need to learn myself so i just rebuild what you did sometimes!) - These "follow along" videos with your voice could go a long way and its very comfy to have "someone" by my side talking abit. Maybe you stream on twitch or something? That would cover my itch ;) Best regards from (the not so far away) germany Edit: I am really interested in how the science polar hub comes together instead of just copy pasting it - i dont know i simply REFUSE to copy paste blueprint your build i want to do it myself and sink i guess at least 2-3 hours into this. But thats just me ;)

I'm totally there with you - I highly prefer making my own designs rather than use blueprints. But making design also prevents me from even using my own blueprints - Which is also a good way to end up with 6 different sets of blueprints that cover the entire game lol :P If you want to support the channel, you could become a member right here on youtube! There have actually been several people requesting (very) long DSP video's. Maybe I should stream it at some point!

18:55 For any unknown reason my Deuterium production at the Fractionators stops. I have to go to the belt and move some Hydrogens out and it starts runing again for some hours until it stopps again. I can not figure the problem - using the BP and did no change to it..
@TheDutchActuary
@TheDutchActuary 6 месяцев назад
Huh, weird. Mine has been running for hours without any issues. Did the output fill up?
@Fky12345
@Fky12345 6 месяцев назад
@@TheDutchActuaryNo. Just the inputs filled up and stopped. I moved some Hydrogen out from the upper and lower belts (about 10 or 20) and it start moving again. Ran for about 2-3 hours, stopped again...and same procedure. This went on until I was finished with purple science. Not of course it stopped

Is there a reason you make your pile sorters skip a tile (3 tiles long)? I'm new to the game and I've just been dropping them in going back one tile.

@@TheDutchActuary thank you for the reply! I was wondering if it stacked differently depending on the length :)
@TheDutchActuary
@TheDutchActuary 2 месяца назад
@@codyheiner3636 It *does* work slower if the length is longer. But considering the high base speed and the fact that the stacking speed is rarely essential for my builds, not relevant here (but using the minimal distance is strictly better)

Hey TDA.. i've been using the Deuterium farm blueprint, but it seems to be getting stuck when hydrogen fills up to max. Any solution to stopping this from happening?
@TheDutchActuary
@TheDutchActuary 2 месяца назад
Hmm I haven't had that problem. But if you make sure the 'main' hydrogen belt runs in an unobstructed circle, it should keep working just fine (assuming you don't cap out on deuterium as well of course). Key to this is ensuring the new hydrogen (from the ILS) is fed in 'from the side' in a T shaped connection, with the top of the T being the main belt.
@Ascian
@Ascian 2 месяца назад
@@TheDutchActuary So I fiddled with it a bit and I entirely stopped the Hydrogen going back into the ILS at all and only topping up the loop by sideloading at a couple of points. This seems to have stopped any jams!
@TheDutchActuary
@TheDutchActuary 2 месяца назад
@@Ascian Yep that's exactly what I meant! You have now officially mastered the art of hydrogen refining! :D

It would be more efficient to request green cube and produce warper locally.
@TheDutchActuary
@TheDutchActuary 6 месяцев назад
That's an option, but gets wonky if the green science doesn't get delivered (because you're also requested it at your research stations) - the AI is pretty bad at deciding what to deliver where.

Neither - I just place & build them manually (I don't use any mods aside from one for lighting, to ensure everyone can replicate what i'm doing). But there's mods out there that do exactly what you mentioned!

The 051 - Graviton Lenses blueprint has an issue which can prevent it from starting up. The electric motor assembly machine at the start of the output belt has its output sending to the iron ingot belt instead. With that fixed, the measured output reaches 60/min graviton lenses. As a minor improvement, the 052 - Simple Deuterium Farm blueprint can benefit from loopback pile sorters installed on the main line somewhere before the final four fractionators. This raises the max output from 1800/minute per side to 2000/minute per side.
@dominikpiorkowski9099
@dominikpiorkowski9099 6 месяцев назад
I prefer using pile sorters between separated belts to be sure that the cargo is always piled, piling it backwards sometimes leaves gaps not being piled to the top.

Will you be doing a video on how to destroy the hives? I'm pretty interested in that strategy at this point in the game.
@TheDutchActuary
@TheDutchActuary 6 месяцев назад
We're already doing it! Once you take control of a full system, the hives no longer have access to new resources and will slowly decrease in strength. Slowwwwwly. In a future update to the game we'll get more offensive materials to speed that up.
