According to their support team, they are having issues with the notification but are working on it. Lots of useful info from G1 owners and tech support on the Even Realities subreddit. The app on the phone that feeds all the data to the glasses seems to be the bottleneck. An AMA is coming up featuring the Founder of the company, and their Product Manager, coming up later on the subreddit.
I was also interested in purchasing for the translation features. Well that's a disappointment. Pass on these, the site makes it look like you get translation for free, but dig deeper and its a paid option to have "real" translation features, the free translation features look purposely delayed and very basic. That's just a bad starting point for a new company, monetizing features that should be included, is just being greedy and especially with AI translation that's near instant and free on most phones already.
What is their pricing on the translation feature? I've heard that it's at an hourly rate for some reason. Also, have you tried English to English so that you can have closed captions in real life? If so, what was your experience like?
@@ItsSeals It's not the best but it's been complained about ad nauseam that this new company might change that monetisation model to something more palatable to consumers. Some users say that the free version is not so limited so it may not matter much. It's not a deal breaker for me, I am in for the extremely interesting potential of these glasses. The current limitation is in the phone app, but that is only a software update away. The glasses will have a firmware update as required. I look forward to its progression as they settle into things. As an early adopter, I know there will be quirks and bumps before they smooth things out.
Hi, Will Wong the founder of the Even G1 is from mainland China governor by CCP, politically disallow to promote Cantonese or other Chinese dialect except what they call Mandarin. even you mentioned "few" sentences were mostly wrong translated.
monthly translation would have been such an awesome choice. Imagine having to think of how much you will pay per hour.A bit greedy on pricing option imo. In a few years AI and translation will be super easy and mainstream. There will be better products than this
