This presentation echoes exactly what I've studied independently about the ancient Book of Mormon text/language with the same conclusions. I am amazed at the effort put into this translation process, and simply ecstatic about the translation! This is very validating for my own research on the contributing language families and the clarity of the meaning of "reformed Egyptian." It also validates so much of the linguistics observed in the English translation of the Book of Mormon.
Great topic! Though he speaks at a quicker pace and his volume occasionally tapers off, when Br Grover speaks at full voice he reminds me of President M. Russell Ballard. Maybe its just me!
If anyone can do this then why did Joseph need the peep stone, spectacles and Holy Spirit? And if this is directly from the golden plates, where can these passages be found in BOM?
@@gm6856 If you have a key translation is quite simple. Read up on the Rosetta stone. Once it's cracked you can go through and read all the other hieroglyphs with little issue. Joseph Smith worked on the Book of Mormon for two years. But if we are generous and follow the early Mosiah translation timeline we could say Oliver wrote 268,163 words at 5 words per minute (the average is 13 words per minute). In 75 days working 12 hours a day you could write the Book of Mormon in its entirety. The Book of Mormon was written April 7th to June 30th in 1829. 85 Days. Now if Oliver was slightly slower than average, say 10 WPM, he could have written it in 56 days. Which is lower than the confirmed days writing the Book of Mormon. Joseph didn't need notes he could just look at the manuscript. He was known to go back over the manuscript and correct it. You're also missing the point of Mythologos. Why did Joseph Smith need the spectacles if he could just be given a key to the caractors that could be verified? And these caractors are taken directly from the plates... so why aren't they exact translations of the plates?
A lot of these things can be checked on Google. The Egyptian Hieratic numbers do not match with what's presented in this video. You cast a wide enough net in an ocean of false claims you're bound to come up with fragments of something that can be made to seem like they have deeper meaning. At the end of the day they're just nonsense "caractors".
