@@olle1153The only big points i noticed she didn't translate is how Massu was disappointed after getting killed by senna on jinx, I also don't think she translated the part where bwipo says that new players get caught off guard late game. either ways she absolutely fucking killed it though there's no way I could even do 20% of the translation there lmao, incredibly impressive, live translating always gets my biggest respect. tbf my chinese isn't great either tho
@@controlconNice catch! She didn't specifically mention the Jinx Senna play but she said that he felt anxious in the game which summarised Bwipo's point, probably trying to juggle all 10 of them in his interview haha
夏安 was also at 2021 Worlds post match interview after EDG beat DWG. She translated Scout and Viper's - Korean to English - and also coach KenZhu's 1min speech flawlessly.
@@Rossotingayeahhh Kenzhu😂😂😂🤣 I remember that.. when he was talking I tried to remember what he said to see if I can translate. When he finished I was like what did he say at the beginning 🤣??
as a mandarin speaker she totally nailed it and didn’t miss anything bwipo said but like cmon bwipo xD it did feel like he wanted to challenge her at times haha but maybe also he was just excited and doesn’t matter if she translates everything as long as his fans can hear what he said
I had an interpretation exam for my last university year few days ago and remembering anything was such a fkng pain (even tho they were comparably short sentences). People that do it on this level are truly build different.
Glad that Bwipo looked super impressed with that. If I were him I would’ve gave a little “give it up for this beast of a translator” at the end that was amazing.
The thing is bwipo always gives interesting answers and almost never search for his words, memorizing something interesting and well said is much easier. She surely does an amazing job tho
As someone who is learning chinese for ~4 months now ... this is crazy, she is so fast. I only understand a word every 10sec or so but damn I love that language so much. It doesn't have that much harsh tones, it's really beautiful to listen to, even more when spoken slowly
I graduated in Translation, and what she did was beyond impressive. Interpreting is a very hard job and uses A LOT of our brain. This interview made me feel very proud of the work she's doing, but it also got me kinda mad at bwipo, like wtf shut up
Wow I’m so happy to find more ppl notice her. Xiaan (Wendy) did the translation for 2021 world final. The coach of EDG rly talked a lot and she did amazing job translating that from Chinese to English~~ And when she talked with Viper, she translated what he said in Korean to English and Chinese (Also another amazing thing is she’s not major in English but philosophy 😂 and She also speaks Korean.)
There is some Chinese words that equal to a sentence in English but generally when you translate from English to Chinese especially when the sentence is made on the spot and show your feeling or way of thinking in a rumbling wat but not typical to the Chinese words the translator need to put multiple different word to make up the English. Chinese to English is much harder when you want it to be accurate and true to the level of speech. Sometimes I'm amazed at Xi translator when he could find the least and shortest words to explain otherwise a few sentence long Chinese punctuation and still maintain the level of speech in his translate.
If you ever are in a situation where somebody is gonna translate for you. God dammit give them a break!! Just a couple of sentences at a time! Not everyone is a beast like this girl.
