Hello! Welcome back!
So last video we took a spin on one of Translink Ulsterbus Uban i4s, so now we’re going to take a look at the Goldliner versions of these i4s.
Manufactured in 2013, these coaches have been a good workhorse for Translink over the past 11 years.
Though they were ordered with the incorrect gearboxes, they still gave good services to Translink Goldline. Such as having the power to work an X1 to Dublin!
Unfortunately, most of the Goldline i4s have been withdrawn from service and sold on to private operators. However a small batch were overhauled and given replacement engines and gearboxes to keep them going for a few years more with no more SC5s to be delivered to replace these remaining coaches.
