Transmission Breaks In the S10 After A Few Passes at Drag Strip!! (NOT GOOD) 

Lol you damn bet once you get a taste for it that's it . I've been Thinking about 4-speed manual swapping it there's one at junkyard that's getting crushed if I don't get everything before friday

Yeah crazy this build like ever since I have had this new engine I've had nothing but problems over and over again with littlest things . Like in the first video of putting this all together it was just constantly something , I'd fix one thing and bam another ha I'm going nuts especially now that I need a transmission definitely not cheap . I've looked at the parts stores and the only place so far is O'Reilly's which is like about $1600 bucks for a reman transmission and I'm like yeaa nope is that has to happen it will be a long time before this is fixed

I have something in mind is all I'm going to say that I'm thinking about doing if I can get everything together that I'm needing we shall see it will probably be the best in the long run if it all works out! Possibly in the next video or so but parts are rare to get and find already so not looking good . Possibly a automatic to a manual Swap!

Definitely was not expecting this lol This really has been a fight ever since the beginning of putting this whole truck together with the new engine just something over and over again fix one thing and then another part would break or something go wrong. I Definitely need to adjust the TV cable on the transmission it shifts too early and engine seems to overheat a bit which could be a factor of why I have transmission problems because it got too hot that night at the dragstrip they had us sitting in the staging Lanes way too long and the engine was really already heat soaked . I was up to like 210° and climbing just a bit before I finally got to make that last second pass and after that when everything went down hill , I even turn the truck off but did not help because it was so hot that night at the drag strip very humid .

Okay I'll definitely look into the timing and see what it will do. Definitely Needs a Transmission cooler and that should be something I should have added way before doing anything else but I put it off which was a mistake and I think that's what cost me who really knows it could have been a going on failure but I pushed it the rest of the way by drag racing it . Especially not being able to hear it shift because of the Camaro so loud and my RPM Tac broke that same night so I could not see when it was shifting

Yeah! Not to good at all and yea definitely will be some content that's for sure lol to get some money made bad some for what I broke cause this isn't gonna be cheap I'm sure definitely don't want to be messing with transmission problems

@@KnuckleHeadGarage27 yeah it will be expensive but at least it’s not one of those new eight or ten speed automatic transmissions. I hear they are terribly expensive to fix.

@@adamculbertson7850 yeah those are terrible transmissions I've heard about it too . I think that was dumbest thing to come out with just for gas mileage trying to dial down much as they can but all they make them all have issues. What's wrong with just a regular 5 or 6 speed auto and just leave it alone I don't want to be going down the road and it changing like 10 times just to do 55mph lol like that's just dumb plus you have people that are teenagers out here drag racing and playing around and in trucks like that and then that makes it just even less time that it has before it starts tearing up . Seen a dodge ram that had like probably 10 gears cause I could hear it with his exhaust shifting and I'm like damn thats alot and we not even goin that fast

@@KnuckleHeadGarage27 I agree. Also the more the moving parts, the more the chance of something going wrong.
