Looks like a you have a communication wire experiencing interference (you can find communication wires by looking for a pair of wires that twist together, they almost look like a hair braid) make sure these arent rubbing against anything metal. If this is the case, you will not have a check engine light up for 2 seconds when you put turn the key to on (as you always should) because the Engine computer looses the ability to communicate, until the wire is repaired. depending on your truck the speedometer on the instrument panel is controlled by your abs module or your transmission output shaft speed sensor. Removing the fuse for the abs or unplugging the transmission output speed sensor (on the top rear of the transmission ) might get you back on the road. If a highspeed communication wire is shorted neither of thing i mentioned above will work.
@@roodisafar5945 bring the engine up to operating temp and check the fluid. We had two trucks with rusted transmission filters and it was slowly leaking out. They look similar to an engine oil filter, but on the transmission. We had the filter replaced, transmission fluid added & codes reset. They run well now.
@@roodisafar5945 just because the lights off doesn't mean the problem is gone. Ours did the same thing the first few times the problem began to manifest. Eventually it will not go into drive from reverse, then you'll loose drive as well. if it happens during transit or in route for a delivery you'll be looking at a $1200+ towing bill. Just checking the fluid is easy and will save you a lot of $$$.
If the transmission fluid level is good and doesn't have a burnt smell it could be a bad solenoid. Make sure all your electrical grounds are clean and properly conductive.
@@jasonross1761 Do you know where I should be the sillynight for the transmission because only thinks this happened to me when it’s raining ones year three times a year
Toms Truck Center simply replaced the transmission. Never gave me any details to what was wrong. www.ttruck.com/new-vehicles/?_dFR%5Bmake%5D%5B0%5D=Ford&_paymentType=our_price&gclid=CjwKCAiAu8SABhAxEiwAsodSZN6IidmJ4odkx4yTDLt1lxMWDMKJjQCP_6PsMXhUnS645ljZIyURfxoCm6QQAvD_BwE
my international giving similar problems it's an 04 with the Allison 5 speed...sometimes it goes into limp mode and won't shift to the higher gears but sometimes it runs good...did you figure out the problem? Allison charged a lot of money and never fixed the problem...when you turn off the truck or reset the battery it usually goes back to good it removes the code
