I have Lancer 2013 and it started to whine when above 2500rpm after 10km of drive. Changed oil, the sound lowered a bit, but it comes up after 2000km of drive.
Ok so on a Chrysler 300 2006 it just started whinning today i had it 11 years when its hot want shift cut it off shifts then hot same thing with whinning so pump is bad may need rebuild 220,000 miles?
I have a 2011 Traverse. Its definitely making these noises andntheyre getting louder. So annoying. So how does one get the planetary gearset checked? Ive NEVER heard of this thing before. Is it costly to have repaired? Thank you for the video. Very informative
I took my car to oreillys and it had said transmission request on the obd. Do anyone knows what that mean . ? Is it low on transmission fluid or something because it doesn’t give me any transmissio
Nissan Tilda is making noise from the gearbox i tried changing the oil but nothing changed, im out of ideas and it is giving less power cant go beyond 50km and a short drive temperature increased unexpectedly what is the problem please help me
I have a 2002 E350 Van with 7.3 diesel and 4R100, it only whined / lower power when I was in the mountains and now more recently with the 105deg heat. I never hear anything or feel any issue until the transmission is "heat soaked". Is that normal with the fluids heating up and making the oil pump work harder? Would an after market transmission cooler resolve the issue? I had the transmission rebuilt and new torque converter installed 30k miles ago.
The transmission shop said they are going to have to rebuild my transmission again cause either the trans pump went bad or the torque converter went bad, on my 2020 camry. Man you were wright it under warranty from the last time and it will not cost me a penny to have it rebuild this time !!!!
Did you get yours fixed? Currently going through the same with my 2018 Camry. Whining sound whenever I accelerate and it goes away when I’m not accelerating
I do have a question. Our 2012 passat always made a whine as you drove it. When you drive and put it in neutral, that whine goes away. I’m thinking the transmission fluid should be changed. It’s been a few years now. It shifts well too.
Hi, Well, not really. It sounds like a radio control car with an electric motor. Do you get what I mean? Hold fluid came out clean and no shavings at all. So that was good. I think you should be fine. it's prolly just the way it sounds. @@kylegrygo244

My 2012 6.2 f250 i just bought makes a very loud whining noise from the transmission. It shifts very strong, no slipping or lurching. I noticed the fluid is overfilled quite abit. Really upset because i want to find out exactly whats wrong without getting ripped off.
Mine just suddenly started whining , but still goes into every gear. Then after awhile it’ll start to get stuck in 3rd. Is it possible that it’s clogged filter not allowing fluid to run through
My '06 Explorer 4.0 with just over 300k km's was making an whining noise for about a month, worse at start and would eventually fade, except recently it remained noisy longer. Anyway, it was driving me crazy trying to find it.... Today, I did. It seems that the torque converter packed it in, according to the code. Truck would barely move and especially struggled going uphill. Repair might well exceed vehicle value as I don't really have anywhere to do this kind of job. Sucks as the truck still looks new. There's no dipstick in these things but I did get new filter and fluids in '19 at an oil change place. Hmmm. Seems to be a common problem with these nonetheless.
Clean throttle body, check to make sure plastic engine cover is not rubbing into the injector\coil harness wires. Drain\fill and filter the trans, then in 5000 miles drain\fill it a few quarts again, its like 2.8 to 3.1 quarts for drain\fill, do not do all fluid at once. In an additional 5000 miles do a 3rd drain\fill and then check fluid color comparison and noise.
The 4th or 5th gears are slipping. If your transmission fluids level is still good you probably have a failing transmission. It will cost thousands for a mechanic to fix it
Hi, I have a rav4 2019. i am getting Woooo sound at particular RPM 1700-1800. above or below that level there is no sound looks normal. what could be the issue? please suggest me with all the details?
@Top5AutoRepairs okay, thank you. I'll consider your advice 🙂 Maybe it'll cost me cheaper too if some of the parts are broken. I can just replace them perhaps
How long can you drive your car with that whining noise before ut completely fails? My car has over 300k miles and don't want to put a lot of money into it.
My transmission only makes a whine under heavy lateral acceleration. Taking right corners hard makes it whine. Then if you let off the gas for a couple seconds its fine. Its fine driving normally and in a straight line
I'm having the exact same issue. Did you ever find out the issue? At first, I thought it was a power steering issue, but my dad recently had to drain fluid from my car because he said it was overfilled.
Hello my friend. I have noticed that my cat whines when accelerating at low and high speeds. From 0-50 I hear a whining noise. Could this be the transmission oil? Have not changed transmission oil and my car 2018 CHEVY MALIBU 1.5L stock model. If I change the oil, will whining go away? If it does not go away, do I have bigger problems? Thank you for your time. My car 76k miles is not being driven anymore until I change the oil myself later this month.
@@JustUsLeagueAZ So it could be a few things but I still haven’t gotten it fixed or anything it’s just been in my lot. I’ve researched around on forums said it could just be the noise of the four-cylinder v4, the way Chevy has made them past the 2017 year model they are just very annoying and very loud. I haven’t done any of the major transmission oil maintenance yet so in my case, it could be my lack of maintenance on the vehicle. I’m at 75k miles and haven’t changed transmission oil yet. I’ll report back when I do but that might be the culprit. My MPG has suffered a lot, currently down to the 20-22 mpg range. This has been my first “new” car and I’m afraid I’ve neglected it too much (drove from state to state) and hopefully my transmission isn’t slipping or anything. It’s a good car but I would get another one if I could lol something cheaper that I could use because I’m not that good with cars LOLOL
Haven’t changed spark plugs either and I had a code pop up saying that one of my cylinders is misfiring. You could get a code reader online or take it to your local AutoZone and see if anything gets picked up. Once I address those issues I think car should be fine or else I’m fucked
