Darn tootin' - even professionals aren't perfect. Having the courage to try and to fail is all it takes to get good enough for whatever you're working on!
This video is simply amazing- how do you take care of your airbrush after using it? Im getting a lot of clogged airbrushes after using this method even when using thinner. And what airbrush is that?
Great tip. I just unpacked my SLA printer yesterday for the first time.. Quite happy with the result (OK after 3rd print I know what the "heavy supports" button in chutubox does 😀... and this seems to be the answer to "why I have to swap the resin every time I need sometnig in different color question. Thank you!
I think you might have solved my biggest problem. My clear prints are coming out chalky looking. Im hoping this will solve my problems. Any advice on here will help on whether this method will help me
This method should pretty much completely eliminate any chalkiness to the print. That look is really just the texture of the resin - Using a 2k clear (as in this video) will fill in all those tiny little gaps and make it nice and shiny (and if it's a transparent resin, will make it see-through).
Longevity is essentially permanent unless you try to sand the coating off. This the same type of paint cars are coated with. Do not use varnish over this, for extra color protection, just add 1-2 coats of the un-tinted clear. That will give you a coating you can buff, wax, whatever you want without effecting the color coat.
