I saw this soooo much, once I saw a video of some political hearing bs where they say u shouldn't put tampons in man's bathrooms and I saw so many comments like "but where are they gonna put them, their a$$". As someone who has lived in Texas their whole life, and just now realized they're non-binary and want to transition medically- I 100% agree. At my school the staff literally locked the unisex restrooms (ppl were stealing toilets for a tik tok trend bc its a public school and everything kinda sucks)

tbh, if something is hurtful the best thing to do is to ignore it. tbf, if you make a video or a comment stating an opinion that millions of people disagree with, expect people to leave comments disagreeing with/hating you. i don't condone people hating others but they're not worth your time. unless they're an actual threat to your well-being it's not important. i think in terms of non-hateful disagreements, you should be able to respect their opinions while also providing points against it.

Could you provide some more details? Off the top of my head, the countries that have the most legal recognition of trans people are located in East Asia (Japan, China) and even parts of the Middle East, like Iran. I'm not quite sure if those countries have greater protections for women's rights than the rest of the democratic world, considering that I think Japan ranks relatively low in the world, and Iran for obvious reasons. Always willing to learn though so if you have any examples that would be cool!

When it's acknowledged as roleplay, few people have a problem with it. When it's demanded to be taken seriously, many people have a problem with it. I am a furry and know many furries. I know at least one genuine trans patient, who has actual symptoms of gender dysphoria. The vast, vast, vast majority of people I see calling themselves trans behave more like otherkin than actual trans patients.

@@FreePalestineF-Israel weaknesses??? that’s both short-sighted and rude. sure, sometimes having a specific identity will lead to being disadvantaged in a world that doesn’t accommodate you and actively discriminates against you for said identity, but this doesn’t mean they are weaknesses. that’s a concerning way of thinking about marginalized identities. for many marginalized people, their identity can be a source of pride because, regardless of how much society has been shaped to exclude and hurt them, they remain vigilant in fighting for their rights. this is why people label themselves, at least from my understanding.

Same situation with being an ed support kid in western australia i was no joke saying my gender identity was "tomboy" when I was 12 and nobody decided that I might need gender affirming care (also we weren't taught about lgbti stuff just the bare minimum in "protective behaviors"). 2 years later at high school I told my education assistants that i "want to be a boy", mum was called over, ed assistants explained the situation mum forced me to be non-binary for two years even though i was still she/her'ed by everyone (no sex education or ""protective behaviors" whatsoever in highschool). 2 years later 15 y.o now came out as trans again in late December of 2022 mum forced me to have a masculinized version of my deadname for her own benefit (yes she admitted that). now I have names that I am happy with and am in so much grief and forever cursed with female puberty.

Ok, so I'm going to sound like an idiot by saying this, but until I watched this video I honestly thought that melody was a cis white woman. This isn't the first time this has happened, I am not sure if I should be disappointed or proud of myself for not noticing or for my brain not thinking it important enough to tell my conscious. trans men rarely get brought up in these debates because theyre less of a hot topic for these people, whenever trans men are brought up they only think about gender ambigious/confused teens and cant fathon a trans man being trans at 12 and still being trans as an adult because their "trans men are just vulnerable girls" argument starts to fall apart if they attempt to call a hairy and buff dude who lifts 2x their weight a mentally ill and vulnerable frail girl
