My husband actually DID help build CARSLAND…most of the mountains the artists used were from their trip through Route 66. I love your videos! God Bless! ❤
Come to Colorado and I'll buy you a ticket to a show. It's amaaaaaaazin. You could go see that Frozen chick sing Let It Snow and you would have a good time.
Bring a plunger and stick it on the roof of your Subaru. Don't worry that everyone else will take this advice; most won't, and of those who would, most of those will forget. 😂
I grew up not 3 miles from there. Rode our bikes into the park in the 70s, camped out on the stage. No one cared. People like this make me itch. Damn transplants.
“I don’t there remember being a bridge”💀💀💀💀😂😂😂😂😂 the amount of times I’ve been leaving absolutely lit thinking that same damn thing, where the hell did this bridge come from?
I live in Indian Hills which is literally about 5 minutes of a drive to Morrison. Because of the mountains, the music travels through and I could hear the concerns on most nights basically for free :)
Little tip, if your car looks like everyone else's car... put something unique on it like a piece of yellow tape or something around one of the handles or bike rack things.
NEVER take your Subaru to Red Rocks. You'll never find it amongst that veritable sea of Subarus. Gotta bring something like a Donk to stand out and be able to successfully find it.
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater is in Morrison but is technically the city and county of Denver since the city of Denver purchased the land in 1927. So it’s located in Morrison which is in Jefferson county but is actually owned and operated by the city and county of Denver. Another fun fact is in 1971 during a Jethro Tull concert the "Riot at Red Rocks," occurred resulting in rock concerts being banned for 5 years. As a Colorado native who grew up in Golden and spent a lot of time at Red Rocks i still enjoy going there as often as I can. Now I’m able to share it with my kids which makes it even more of a sacred place to me.
As a person that lives in Colorado I think it’s so cool that everybody thinks that red rocks are so amazing even though I see them like every day literally I see them like
THE WAY THIS WOULD LITERALLY BE ME. First time I went to red rocks this was my exact reaction. Shame the venue's so expensive, I want to go again more than anything
All so true! Get there early and park at the top. The parking lots are dark and all look the same at night plus good luck if you have a Sube...you'll see 4 before you find yours.
I live in Colorado, and I’m ALWAYS at red rocks for concerts, I went to two just this month lol, and I swear there is always someone smoking that zaza right next to u
@@michaelblasius7705 I dunno. There's never been a show there that I've really wanted to go to... The rock formations are cool but I feel like I get that same effect from Garden of the Gods in the Springs. Just... Never been.
Really depends on what you want out of your venue. The hype from red rocks comes from it being such a big outdoor venue, and therefore you can get away with more, imo. It's great if you can afford seats close to the stage, and it's the artists first time at red rocks or a recorded show. Those seem to be better than just another usual set. But the further seats have great views of the surrounding area, just not the best middle of the day during summer 😅 best advice, tag along with a group that's made all the plans and just pay for your ticket lol
I had a moment of realization when i was 13 that people who move here and go to Red Rocks for the first time are baffled by the hike and find out that adjusting to the altitude takes most of a year. For those of us born here it's just a "bit of a walk in".
LoL I used to work at Red Rocks. And one thing the fans are never aware of. Is that there's a mountain lion than Bobcats all over that Amphitheatre. Never go up there when there's not a show. They always stick to the trails when there is a show.
Lol! I would take my daughter to Red Rocks to see Blues Traveller around July 4th back in the 90s and had to teach her what the smell was. Ya, that was before it was even legal. Her 2008 High School Graduation was held there. I saw many concerts there since the mid-80s. The older I got, the earlier I would leave to go home and beat the traffic. Glad you guys are loving Colorado. We moved from Highlands Ranch to Kentucky in 2017. It’s great to go back and visit now.
I go up there around 7 times a year. The secret to beating the traffic, as soon as they play that last note, roll. No hesitation. I typically get out of the park in 5 minutes.
Solution for when you've forgotten where you parked in a sea of cars - wander around hitting the panic button on your key fob. Follow the sound of the alarm. Of course, it only works if everybody else isn't doing it too.
