Once again we're looking at transport in plants. This time, we look at the three complementary theories that suggest how water moves against the force of gravity up the xylem.
Covered in this video: Root Pressure, Capillary Action (adhesion), Transpiration (cohesion-tension).
Plus a little bit of biochemistry of water!
Made for AQA A level students

This is really great video ,but I have a question for u should u have the time to answer the question is which feature of xylem vessels help with cohesion of water?

Cohesion of water is the "sticking" of water molecules to each other, so xylem vessels don't exactly help with cohesion. However, xylem vessels have a polar surface which causes the water molecules to adhere onto the vessel (adhesion). Hope this helps :)

I wish you could be a bit slow. It felt as if you were learning by yourself rather teaching. Keep in mind, ahead. However, the content is apt and sufficit for basic as well as broader knowledge.
