I actually got to see a truck similar to this move a power company 700,000 LB transformer on some rural Indiana roads. Ironically...the old Mack they used had to be brought in from St. Louis I believe because the TWO (2) brand new 500 mile on the odometer Kenworth prime movers BOTH broke down. One had a computer malfunction that put the truck into limp mode and the second backup truck had major cooling issues. So a 1975 Mack prime had to be trucked in to finish the move. The power company was NOT happy in the delay and the rigging company was NOT happy with their new Kenworths. This was right when DPFs came on the new trucks. So between computers and cooled EGR etc...the trucks were a major failure when the clock was ticking and money was being lost by the suitcase full. The Mack didn't miss a beat once it arrived.

Fill er' up....and check my tire pressure. Imagine...all that size and all that weight...ALL being pulled through a shackle on the end of a steel cable....which appeared so small compared to the load.
