Mini theory bit for those starting out: Try different versions of minor keys. Possible outcomes of a song being in Cmin:-> Cmin = notes of Ebmaj scale starting on C, or ->Cmin = Bbmaj scale starting on C. Listen for the differences in tonality! Cool possibilities. If you’re feeling crazy and want to play Cmin, play Abmaj scale starting on C. This dives into how modes can diversify your sound palette. I wont name them here. See if you can figure it out. Fun stuff to really dig into!
Because of you, I purchased this today. As a recording engineer myself, I particularly don’t like using tuning. But as the times change, I must admit, it’s fun as hell! Thanks for the video 💯
Dope video man! I really struggle with layering vocals like I’ll have so many good takes with different emotion but I won’t know what to do with them? Would be sick to see you get creative with different vocal takes and mixing them all in together
4:22 that moment u realize u gotta HIT! i see u doin more with this song now n i knew it when it got stuck in my head when u released this video months ago. def soundtrack, movie, BIG song
How do I set it so that I'm only hearing the vocals post-processing / effects? Trying to use this in a live sense.. I'm on ableton and I have everything running, I just can't seem to get rid of the audio going into my mic.
Why does wave tune real time only work for me when I use it on a part that I have already rapped, and not on a part that I rap live. I am happy about help
Great Job! This was the most successful and musically sound tutorial I've have ever watched in pitch correction. Thanks for having substance and natural ability! -whoisluther
Dear Sean. I just bought this plugin, but I'm trying everything and it doesn't tune my voice. I've googled like a ton but for everyone it just seems to work out of the box... I'm stumped it doesn't sound like yours at all.. nothing robotic or anything. Could I be doing something wrong? I hear my voice and see it's being registered but my voice is not being altered. Any advice would help
Bro you must finish this track, that chorus is beast man! When MY FLOW IS OFF THE WALL drops, that made me want to find something to break 😂😂 this is so lit🔥🔥🔥🔥 😎
Uh..ok. Honestly, that answer isn't really helpful. At 4:02 you say "let's just try to harmonize.." and it looks like that harmonizing was done on the fly in real time as you sang into the microphone. So did you in reality prerecord the harmony vocals and just made it look like you did that in real time or was it indeed done in real time ? If the latter, how ? Thanks !
it wasn't meant to be a wise guy answer, it's just to hard to explain how to harmonize other than to sing them.... the main hook vocal was pre-recorded as I mentioned. the harmonies in the video are being done live, as you're hearing them. it's the same setting in waves tune rt, I'm just singing counter melodies in the scale to create harmony
I you're recording vocals and you want to hear you''re self do you need to turn on software monitoring? because when I turn it on I hear my self but I sounds like a double voice, when I only turn on the i and turn of software monitoring I can't hear my self...
I've been having an issue where I'll assign the scale but the waves tune real-time corrects the vocal to the wrong key. I tried assigning the same scale to the stock pitch correction plugin and it sounds great, but it sounds very off with this for some reason and I can figure it out. Does anyone else have this issue? Thanks
Sean Divine can you do a video on your room treatment and if you did anything else to your room? your vocals sound the way i want them to sound not counting effects.
This is absolutely dope !! I just have a quick question if anyone can guide me on that, is it better to use the "user's scale" option rather than the usual selecting a scale by myself (selecting the correct one of course) ? And if so, why ?
Genkishi it comes down to your personal preference, if the default scales sound good with what your doing then leave it as is but if t isn’t play around with the custom scale comes down to trial and error
do u just throw auto tune on your track or do you route it ? its probably my laptops fault but when i record with autotune on i dont hear the effect as much as i do on playback
