Hey Sean, just wanted to give you your flowers and say thank you so much for the work you put in to spread knowledge and guide us music producers. I had an idea for a video. It's a little basic but I've been using Logic Pro stock plugins to mix/master for over 10 years now. I just purchased Ozone 11 Advanced and am just blown away by everything that is possible. I am finally uploading to beatstars and I was looking for an approach to mixing my beats with or without ozone 11 advanced (Example being like a tonal shaper on buses and what not) Basically the video idea would be mixing/mastering a beat start to finish using only Logic Pro stock plugins + anything you would pull from ozone 11 advanced for the mix and as well as the master. so, basically I had the nt1-a and it makes lot a noise like gorund loop/buzzing noise, since I live in a small village I think it's eletric probelm, so I bought another mic (NT1) and I'm still having the same problem, tried new xlr cables, different pc/laptop and nothing changed. Bought a new audio interface, and still having the same problem. I got a cheap condenser microphone from Aliexpress (BM800) and it works perfectly fine, so my last hope for good vocal recording is the shure sm7b since it's dynamic and does not need the 48V to be on, I think it'll be fine, because I'm done with spending money on new equipment
i do not care at all at "consistency" among tracks as i see it as a killer of many frequencies you have been carefully mixing.. you see.. i you sculpt a song or a voice (or maybe want to keep the voice natural) a procedure like this can potentially destroy a mix. I see usage at this if you have a particular song you want to match to a reference Track that was well mastered... here of course AB to see wich eq band is really favouring the mix. Thanks😊

Hey Sean. Quick question . Do plugins like Trackspacer and the one by United plugins called Firespacer also do these things but more automated for a 2 track ? Have you heard of these ? Thanks
I have trackspacer. It's good and yes, the idea is similar to what I show for Pro Q in the tutorial... although, I'd say Pro Q is much more versatile in that case.
In future please try and gain-match the A/B so we can hear what the plugin is doing rather than be impressed just by the volume increase.. We always get fooled by plugins that make things louder which immediately sounds more impressive, but it might not be adding .
This was a fantastic explanation for a home-studio beginner here: keeps budget consciousness in mind, explains the importance of why you would want to consider adding each thing without being too technical to understand for someone just starting to try and do this, and gets to the point well without dragging on for too long nicely packaged information in 8 minutes. I’ve got a couple of walls, a ceiling, and a window to take care of and I feel better about what I’m going to do to treat them because of this. Thank you! 🙏🏼
I’ve been looking to get more body and low end out of my vocals. I have the 737 as well as the TLM103. I have a Telefunken TF51 coming this week so I am excited to try similar settings like this to combo with it. Would you recommend me adding an Empirical Labs EL8 Distressor Compressor/Limiter? I heard it’s amazing
@@SeanDivine I actually noticed this when comparing to the TF51. Now I feel like it’s almost too smooth but maybe I’m just not used to it but would the EL8 help now?
Yooo. Dude- Bro- I wrote and recorded some really ‘bad- ass’ tracks and dope records; Over your beats nearly 20 years ago; my man. I’ve been meaning to make contact with you- after recognizing your name recently. Because you are very blessed and it is fantastic to see you praising ‘The one true ‘ELOHIM.’ Your work ethic and your longevity is a true testament to your desire and passion for the work you produce and publish. -crazily enough in my late 30s-I have come full circle after five year hiatus; Working to complete a professional- project. Which is much needed and important for closure and perfection of the art that I began all those years ago..

Hi there Sean, thank you very much for this video. I am about to buy it and I am wondering how you connect it to a keyboard like a midi controller from arturia essential keylab 49. It only has a midi out in the back and I am a bit confused about what inputs to use if I want to play and record it in Logic Pro.
It has midi in (and usb). Connect the midi out from your controller to the deepmind. Route the audio outputs to inputs on your interface. Create midi / audio tracks accordingly in Logic Pro.
