This was the mix I listened to during my first month in Japan. I can't even turn this thing on without getting chills now. Listening to this, I can clearly remember the sensation of the Nagoya subway, the feeling of being excited to go out for a fun night with friends, and just exploring Japan. Luckily I'll be moving back to Japan this year! But in the meantime this mix makes me feel like I am legit there. Amazing stuff.
Good fortune to all those who find themselves in this warm comment section, be it in the morning as you're waking up, or the late hours of the night before your sleep. Remember, you're amazing.
Found this video pretty much on release, and have been ridin with Ryan ever since. I fucking love this shit, Ryan, your skills as a curator of music and visuals have no joke deeply touched me and enriched my life. I remember telling my friends about your stuff in high school, now in my mid 20s and I have the stream on every day when I'm home to keep me company. Legendary shit, I hope the stream stays up for another 60 years haha
This mix alone has gotten me through more exams, assignments and projects than I can count. Whenever it’s time to grind this is the first mix that I throw on.

I listened to this nonstop my senior year of undergrad in college, studying and working on Finals stuff and projects. 4 years later, still coming back to this specific video while working post-grad.
I listened to this after getting drunk on 2 Asahi STRONGs in Shibuya. I just put my earphones in and sat at the crossing and people watched for ages, alone.... fucking c o m f y
I listened to this on repeat when I took my first trip to California. This music saturated my entire experience and completely changed my perception of California. Great job Ryan, you really made a masterpiece
I'm sitting in the library, tryin to get my exam done and I love the vibe of listening to this stuff while watching out the window where the sun sets everything into a red, moody mood. Like I'm more connected with the world outside than with the people studying right next to me. Somehow beautiful
Don't know bout you guys but gettin high and just goin for a ride with a city as chill as that is a ride I want to be high enough to ride. Tunnels and lights everywhere! If you've never just thrown some headphones on and hopped on bus goin anywhere you haven't lived!
And so ends another night vibing to TRAPPIN IN JAPAN...did you ever expect your creations to have so much impact on people? Like I can't imagine a day where I wouldn't take the time to listen to this music...and I think I'm not the only one. Stay blessed & never stressed Ryan🔥💖
For me this is THE Trappin In Japan. I mean the others are great no question but there is something special here, excellent flow from track to track and no filler.
lokmard lokmardson I quit smoking a few months ago because of my job drug testing, but this mix makes me want to say "fuck my job" roll up a whole 3.5 in one j, spark it up and get high af for old times sake.
Comming back after five years and the mix continues from where I left. I got goosebumps man, it's unbelievalbe how many memories came back just from hearing to that mix and watching the video itself. Thank you so much Ryan for being part of my everyday life for so long. You made living life so much easier. You're a blessing to this world.
Trappin in Japan were one of my favorite playlist to listen to when I used to get high af back in highschool. Coming back to these mixes brings in memories and now I listen to it again for studying.
Just came off 2 back to back doubles at work, just lit up and looking forward to my off day. This music is the perfect soundtrack for the way I feel right now. Thanks for the music Ryan 🎶 🎵 ❤ 🙌 🙏
I wish we could all get together and listen to trappin in Japan. It would be soooo fun! Rent a venue and drinks on me. A girl can dream... a girl can dream.
i listen to this every time i travel for work because it’s what i listen to when i’m spending time with my girlfriend. it’s like a little piece of home to me.
i've easily watched this video over 100 times, no exaggeration. single best vid on youtube. i know every word and adlib for the entire video, and could probably recite the entire tracklist from memory without audio! you're the GOAT Ryan.
I've been listening to this since it came out. I fell in love with one and two but three is by far my favorite. It's my go to chill playlist. You are so awesome for putting this together
Every now and then I come back to this music, I'll always remember discovering this genre around 2017 and started loving it as well. Thanks as always Ryan for masterpieces like this.
This music has inspired me. In fact it's inspired me to be a part of the movement. I'm going through a hard time. Many people have asked if you would extend your song "Suicide - Silver Line" and I couldn't agree more. Before my current job (gas station) I was a rapper and singer, this was until 2012 when hurricane sandy hit my studio in the USA. I wanted to really bring that "trappin in japan" feel to that song. So I made up my own raps, cut up and extended the song perfectly, went home and recorded it with in-sync video. If I sent you this clip (it would really suit your channel and your fans would love it) would you upload it? It would literally mean the world to me.
