Joe Willard same here, I turned 30 this year and Trapt was one of the bands to bring me over to this music. I use to only listen to grunge/punk mainly, besides a bit of Green day, drowning pool or disturbed.
I'm 32 now and just figured out what I want to do with my life. I've been afraid to leave my comfort zone trying to be successful in my own bubble BUT not anymore I've crossed the line and there's no going back now failing forward is the only way until I succeed....gotta leave my past behind & become a better version of myself.
The best thing as far as I know is that we can make sure we use the best of our time for good deeds because that's all what truly remains. Trapt is awesome as are you
The high school memories, playing wow, driving alone at night, working until close listening to this... im glad to see these guys are still around. And im glad to have trapt as part of my generation.

Coming back to this album, 15 years after I used to rock out to it on my way to work when I was 20. The songs all hit very differently.. It feels like a lifetime ago.. I wanna go back...😩😩
I'm a teenager now. I love this song. What sucks for me is my music taste was given to someone in the wrong generation. I wish I could go party to songs like this but most people I know just listen to the hip hop crap that is popular these days.

Nostalgic songs like this one sticks to your brain and it puts a time stamp in your life. You will never be able to forget about it. I will always love this song. At the time I longed for one of my best friends. I was in the Navy and she was still living in my old home town. We were best friends and she always wanted the stupid guy that treated her like crap. After I got out of the Navy I finally got my chance. Now we are married with a beautiful 4 year old girl.
Story time. When I was younger I got sent to rehab in Newport Beach, California. It was... an experience, to say the least. They told me I was alcoholic. That one day I would die if I didn't quit and the only thing that would save me was a blue book and "giving myself up to god." Not only that but I didn't have any desire to quit. Still I knew I was not in a good position and I remember I used to go sit on the beach and listen to this song. It felt poetic or meaningful, ironic I guess is what I was going for, given the lyrics and my feelings at the time. This song takes me back to that beach. I used to listen to it while I drank for years thinking about those moments, wondering when I would finally die. I came to think of that moment in my life as my "death sentence." You see, for me, it wasn't a choice. As far as I was concerned those people, at the rehab center, they told me I was going to die. I'm an atheist, as if my moniker escaped anyone, and an alcoholic. I don't do god, or anything else I don't want to. Even under threat of death. I tried to quit on my own many times but it never worked, so I drank. Alot. Every day. For almost 20yrs. Then, one day, I decided to try one last time and told myself if it didn't work this time I was going to eat a 9mm and call it a day. I'll have 4yrs sober in March and I am inching close to the term happy. No gods, no books, just therapy and Naltrexone. I found the place with no walls. I know no one cares but I had to come here and write this for me because I don't have to think about the beach when I listen to this song anymore.
Alban Ferati Ahhh, that's terrible! I know we've only just met, but you seem like a nice enough person to me. If that's the case, then screw them! 3 more years and you can move out and start your own thing without persecution! Hang in there, young padawan!
I am 19 currently, have discovered Trapt thanks to DBZ AMVs, not with the Headstrong but other songs, and their songs have helped me get out of the hell in my psyche
I fell in love with my husband when I was 14, and he was 15. We were each other's first true love, and he was my first kiss. After 2 years, we walked sperate paths. For 6 years he checked in on me at least once a year, until I finally said I'd give him another chance. We've been married 7 months now, after a year of dating again. I'll never let him go again. These songs are our history, as we grow older. We're 23 and 24 now.
Cant believe this album is almost 2 decades old. Headstrong on the radio made go out and buy this album I listened to this album so much that I had to buy 4 all together and that was before you could listen to it on RU-vid. I'm 37 now in 2021 and I listen like this is new music at least once a month. I still have a whole bunch of cds you buy just to listen to 2 or even one song not this album every song is good. I was locked up for a year and a half in prison. This song made me who i am today. That was almost 5 years ago and it is still the best song on earth!!
I was 15-16, those were real good times. didn't have to worry about much, just went out on my bike with mates all the time. I was usually listening to trapt, my mates didn't share my taste in music haha I was the awesome one 😊
Definitely the best time of my life despite having no social life haha. Its just my video games and awesome music like this. I relive it everyday with songs like this. Being 11/12 in 2005 was the best. It did went to shit after 2005 and I coped with listening to music like this, hilarious sexteen comedies and ps2 games
I know that confident person is still inside of me it's just barried by anger I will get passed what I am going through and all of the fear I have I won't let people tear me down anymore.
has anyone else noticed that a lot of trapt songs are pretty calm in the beginning then get exciting in the chorus, then gt calmer, then get exiting for the rest of the song?
Man I loved all Trapt songs for an unknown reason when I was a young child, now I'm 17 and know that I love them because of their maturity, their perfect tempos and real problems in which they sing about. It's a perfect example of how a debilitated infrastructure(Not saying they're "Messed up", just saying that they don't try to be perfect, only what they want to be, only what THEY want) can still produce masterpiece song after masterpiece.
I know I grown older when this song is basically nostalgia for me at this moment. First fell in love with it when I was 14 years old. Now I'm 20, and I have found it again recently.
Help me out here fellow fans!! How is it that someone like Linkin Park is bigger than Trapt?! I've only been a Trapt fan for 2 weeks now and already I can tell that they are waaaay better than LP! All you hear is LP this and LP that all of the internet but no Trapt! Trapt is for real!! They sing without adding crap to their songs. They sing of love, loss, and emotional pain. How can you go wrong with that?!

This reminds me when I met my wife that i have been with for almost 9 years, which now wants to get a divorce. I really hate whats going on, exspecially for my daughter, it hurts everytime she asks why I am not moving with her!!!
Don't mean to disrupt the discussion, but I am here to enjoy the music. I saw these guys when they first came out, when I met, and went out with, and now my wife, and these guys are not to be taken so litterally..hope I didn't ruin it, but thedrummer is really good, and so is the melodic music
