G played this in Tampa the night Mac Miller died and cried on stage. it was one of the most powerful moments i've ever experienced, being a massive fan of each. respect for reacting to one of my favorite eazy tracks
on god i started shedding tears man. mac miller was such an inspiration dude. the day i found out he passed man i thought it was just a prank or some shit. i go through the same shit mac goes through. shit is tough and not a day goes by that i dont listen to his music. forever and always will be my favorite artist and nothing and no one can change my mind
First verse: the girl he fell in love with was Devon Baldwin, his ex, great singer, was in “let’s get lost”. Second verse: his brother: James gillum. Third verse is about how his mom was dating a female (Melissa) who O.D.d on pills and he took it real hard..
Fuck I’ve been listening to g eazy since middle school & im 22 now. I had forgotten ab let’s get lost🤦♂️thank you for reminding it to me, can’t wait to listen to it for the first time in months In highschool & college, me & quite a few friends & women have completely vibed out & smoked to let’s get lost & other tracks
Heard him sing this in London 2016 whilst his brother played the trumpet and man it was so emotional could really tell he's a man that cares about his art!
G-easy songs to react too- Far Alone Been on Achievement Let’s get lost Some kind of drug Tumblr girls Just believe Opportunity cost When it’s dark out These things happen Eazy The beautiful and Damned Calm Down Gula Random And many many more but just a few Edit: just keep thinking of more haha! And thanks for the likes guys!
Came back to this video after I saw some other reactions to this song and goddamn the thing that Layedbak got that none of these other reaction channels do, maybe Shaq, is the appreciation of the music. He feels the voices and the instrumental while some people only focus on either the lyrics or overall sound of the sound. I think that’s what makes your reactions so genuine and fun to watch.
This is the song that every time I hear it, no matter what, I start tearing up. It just hits so hard and you can see it in his live performances of this song, you can hear it in his voice how deep it cuts and at the end he’ll break down and cry, something you never expect G-Eazy of all people to do. But this just shows you that he is a human too, rappers have different personas and they act ‘hard’, but they still suffer from a lot of the same things that ‘normal’ people go through. They still have hardships and mental health issues just like the rest of us, just their entire life is thrown out into the world for everyone to see. Rarely does anyone really stop to think about the fact that this is still human being behind the celebrities that we all know them as.
Health is wealth fam. I found you a couple weeks ago right after I found out I'm getting divorced. Your channel and the message helps so much man and I appreciate everything you been doin. I've stopped drinking and already went from 290 to 260 from changing everything about my diet and going to the gym every day. Only water and drinks with no sugar/carbs for me. Thank you for everything you do man. I genuinely appreciate it all.
I’ve gotta say usually there are songs from an artist i want to see get upvoted that never do, but my god these G-Eazy tracks that get to the top are all the best ones. Fire Squad doing this G-Eazy journey the right way.
Hearing this the first time when I was a teen relating to the taking care of his mother, being distant from his brother and years later my oldest sister over dosed, He beared his heart & soul and I could totally relate ❤️💯 never alone G
LayedBakDFR, You did it again. Great breakdown and you pointed out something that's so key. Necessity versus Choice. Experience 1st hand versus Hearing about struggle. I never thought of it that way. Maybe the reason why some of us push ourselves so hard is because we know what hard times are like. Keep grinding man. You'll be big someday. I predicted NF being huge after hearing his release of Mansion. You got the drive as well. Now how you get there and what lane you choose is up to you. Thanks for unintentional and motivating speech.
Yeah, honestly. I'm anxiously awaiting the return of this G. His new stuff is alright. It's got that hype sound. But this is the era of G that I fell in love with! Any of his old stuff will be a good listen, honestly.
My list: Tumblr girls Achievement Must be nice Downtown love Been on Far alone Plastic dreams These things happen (the intro song) Sleepless The endless summer
I think about SO MUCH when I listen to this it helps with my depression I relate SO much to this I was in a program & my Mom came to pick me up & I didn't knoe what was going on till I met my step dad
This song is so deep. I'm glad that G Eazy could get this story out and put it in his music because it may help someone going through a similar situation. And I love the dynamic between G Eazy and Kehlani. He said Kehlani was the only person that he could do such a personal song with since they are so close. They both are from the same city and G Eazy took Kehlani on her first tour with him when she was still a new artist. You should react to their other songs together (Good Life and Get Away). This was the most vulnerable G Eazy has ever been in his music as far as I know. I'm glad Kehlani is there always being such a supportive friend. You should react to some of Kehlani's music because she's super deep and always relatable. You can start by reacting to Nights Like This by Kehlani ft Ty Dolla Sign. And if you want a deep and emotional song that tells you about Kehani's childhood then react to her song called The Letter. Kehlani was raised by her aunt since she was a baby and The Letter is an emotional song to her real mom.
This is a great song for sure! NF has one about his mother as well. Its called " how could you leave us" Very deep song but its a great one for sure. Been clean for three years now and listening to songs like this really hit home and make me realize that i would never want my family to go through something like this! Keep up the grind my man! Love your reviews
Every time I hear the last verse I get chills bruh. He cries nearly every time he performs that song live. React to Spectacular Now by G-Eazy. It’s beautiful. Big fan, love the content!❤️
