Hopsin - No Words You gonna laugh at this one man lol, It's his example of what mumble rappers do and it's ACTUALLY catchy! There's a No Words 2 with no music video as well, Hope it goes on the list.
Finally i loved this reaction.... I just wanted to tell you before you do ill mind 9 you HAVE to react to hotel in sydney to UNDERSTAND ill mind 9...abd hotel in sydney is some intense fire can't wait to see your reaction. 😊
Deezo Oliveros Dizzy actually stayed neutral on the situation only thing he agreed with Dame was the fact that Hopsin only stayed in the booth to make his albums and he wasn’t out as much as the rest of Funk Volume when it came to doing stuff like any charity services Dame put them in as well doing the FV Fitness videos that didn’t last long but everyone except for Hopsin was participating
Idk I think its ill mind 9 maybe idk?? But where he is talking to his kid dressed up in the show in the music video is the best from my perspective. Found it while I was missing my dad. So thats just my opinion but this bitch goes hard as fuck. My dad loved this song after I showed him.
I have really really bad anxiety and sensory overload. I'm also an alcoholic because of it because I like to numb myself so I don't freak out about stuff. I can't watch any reaction video youtubers or ASMR artists or people talking or anything like that or I'll become overwhelmed and my day would be ruined. BUT, I go to your channel to RELAX which is huge for me. You have a completely layed bak point of view on things and you talk very calmly and the pitch of your voice is very soothing. I know this isn't a normal comment that you're used to but I just wanted you to know. Thank you
I was torn when Hopsin left Funk Volume but I'm glad I got to watch them grow from nothing to an underground powerhouse who kept real hip hop alive. From all the mixtapes to cyphers, whatever they put out..Funk Volume was dope. You should check out Independent Living by Dizzy Wright ft Hopsin and SwizZz.
Hopsin started funk volume with his friend SwizZz and swizZz brought in his brother Dame in the picture He has a business background Dizzy wright ( you gotta check him out) and jarren benton (him too, he from the ATL) Was brought in to the label as artist and they where killing the game everyone but SwizZz he disappeared for a while Dame was part owner of funk volume, manager, accountant Basically paying himself more Hopsin wanted a new manager and same got mad and told hopsin the reason he hasn’t blown up and made more money was because he “doesn’t work hard” hopsin left funk volume and everything fell apart (Since hopsin wasn’t there no more nobody else wanted too) SwizZz & dizzy Wright stayed with same
This is legit one of the best songs about getting wronged by your label. He airing out all the dirty laundry, he mentioning Warner etc, he don't mince his words at all finally
Hopsin started Funk Volume as a label and signed a few people he thought were really good. He started this business with a close friend of his and that friends brother. The Brothers name was Damien Ritter (hense "something's fishy 'bout you Mr. D. Ritter" Damien was the manager, accountant, etc as mentioned in the song. They loved the music and it wasn't about the money for the artists but for dame (Damien), it was. He started stealing from them and when hop found out dame started telling him and everyone else that hop had anxiety and needs to work on himself before he goes pointing fingers. This affected hop a lot because he does have some mental health issues but it wasn't altering his view of what was really going on. after dame convinced of a lot of the artists they signed that hop was just making stuff up, hop said "one of us is leaving because im not dealing with you anymore. dame said he wasnt leaving and so hop left and he made this song mentioning his side of the story.
one of the few good reaction channels because you actually pause and break down the lyrics. and appreciate the small things most people dont even notice
Hopsin started Funk Volume with SwizZz and Damien is SwizZz’s brother. At the time Dam was going to college for business stuff so he managed the label. The rest is pretty much history, Hopsin noticed some stuff wasn’t right with the money while they were on tour and he confronted Dam about it. That’s pretty much when Funk Volume split and Hop started UP
Funk volume is hopsins label that him and swizz created, and dame ritter is swizz's brother. He was the manager and was the demise on f.v. one of the illest groups of all time, you should check them out.
That sounded a bit like Dr. Phil at the end. I don’t know how many times I’ve listened to this and never realized it, gonna have to do some digging and see where that quote comes from.
Anonymous yeah it took me a second to realize it the first time I listened to this track but I’ve heard that clip before in something else so the half speed kind of threw me. Wasn’t his normal twangy voice
The story goes basically that Hopsin and his best friend Justin Ritter, who is also a rapper and goes by the stage name SwizZz, came up with the idea to start a label. They chose the name Funk Volume, and SwizZz's brother, Damien Ritter AKA "Dame" became the manager, but also took on the title of label owner and accountant all at the same time and he started screwing Hopsin out of money, along with some of the other guys signed with Funk Volume like Dizzy Wright and DJ Hoppa.
Earlier this year, Dame and Hop sat down for a podcast and talked about everything. Hop admitted that he was wrong to go this hard on someone, and that a lot of what he said was wrong and out of pocket. He admitted he did need therapy, but wasn't ready to hear it yet, and that now that he's matured and better understands the business side of things, he agrees with a lot of what Dame was doing, and that it was all according to the written agreement the two had struck as co-owners of Funk Volume. It was nice to see that both were sorry things went down like they did, and were on civil speaking terms again.
The tomica line at 4:30 is reference to Tomica Wright eazy e’s wife who run/ ran ruthless record and signed Hopsin then screwed him over, he then dissed on one his track “kill her” it’s worth a listen it’s quite an old song
LayedBak you have to react to Jarren Benton featuring Elz Jenkins: OJ He was signed to Hopsin’s second record label funk volume. One hell of lyricist, you won’t be disappointed
Funk volume is a label hopsin and an artist/friend Swizzz co created with swizzz’s brother Dame Ritter. Until hopsin found out Dame took his money. So he left the label
THANK YOU for understanding the need to adjust sound levels!! So many other youtubers have their voice input loud AF and you can’t even hear the damn song lmao
Swizzz older brother dame. He became the manager of FV. Then held money from then and set them on tour and had them staying in unfavourable conditions while traveling. Then changed the vision of FV Without concerning them
Funk volume is hopsins lable. He had a law battle over the lable with his manager Damen. They split it 50/50 . Hopson wanted him to back out and he said no basically.. so Hopsion left. But his manager wouldnt let him out of his contact. Hes got 4 albums hes suppose to do under funk volume be refuses. Hence why hes only dont the ill mind of hopsion. Hes waitinf his contract out. He put this out to clear the air for his old crew and fans.
Hopsin created Funk volume together with swizzz and his older brother Damian Ritter, Dame has a MBA that's why he was in charge of the organizational structure of the label. Before that hopsin was signed and basically fucked over by tomica Wright and ruthless records, he mentions it alot in his songs.
I worked at a wearhouse that shipped produce to grocery stores. Whole Foods gets all the same fruits and vegetables all the other stores like fredmyers orders. They simply just charge more and market it differently
Funk Volume was the label was signed to. The guy that he was running it with, Dame Ritter, was trying Hopsin throughout all that shit. That’s the whole story of this track
Fun facts about this video 1. The judge is tech n9ne drummer 2. Funkvolume is hopsins original rap handle and the name of the first label he started 3. Dame( the manager) is swizzz brother and theres actually a respobse track from swizzz 4. Tamika is a manager from hopsins past the did a very poor job of promoting him 5. Brooklyn and jaimie are hopsins tour assistants 6. This wasnt actually the birth of undercover prodigy(hopsins new label) it was originally his clothing line
Before creating Funk Volume, Hopsin was signed to Ruthless Records, so in the verse where he said "you on that same bullshit Tomica brought" he's talking about Eazy-E's Widow Tomica Wright.who was the owner of Ruthless Records after Eazy-E died.
Yeah I remember that Funk Volume History, that was some Real Sh** with his old Partner and his old Manager who were brothers I believe. Artists... you gotta be On Point... there's Snakes On Every Level.
Funk volume was hopsins label he and Swizzz created it consisted of hopsin, swizzz, jarren benton and dizzy wright. He hired Swizzz brother as his manager and he took all of of the money.
Hey fire squad, Been watching your videos for a few months now, and have really enjoyed your input in your trash or pass series. Recently I've been requesting a certain artist and some of his songs, but to no abide, so I wanted to make something a little more eye-catching. E-dubble was an underground rapper that first started rapping in the year 2000, but only got some traction during his Freestyle Friday series in 2010, where he sampled a new song every week for a full 52 weeks. He grew popular mainly in the gaming community, but also in a small pocket of the rap scene as well. Sadly, 2 years ago he passed away, and never really got his big break into the major scene. He's really well known for being lyrical in really amazing ways, and its sad to his his talent gone under the radar for so long. It'd really mean a lot to me, and probably for most of his fans, if you could react to anything he's made. A few I'd recommend would be Be a King (Single), Robots Can't Drink (Freestyle Fridays), Let me Ohh (Freestyle Fridays), Changed my Mind (Single), and my personal favorite, Drinking with my Headphones On (Hip Hop is Good). Thanks, hope you read and enjoy, and keep up the great content!
Hopsin used to be signed to Funk Volume and Damien Ritter is the founder of Funk Volume. This issue is what caused the issues between Hopsin and SwizZz because SwizZz is Damiens brother. I miss them doing songs together tbh.
Yea hopsin was signed to his second label funk volume....the group included Jerron Benton, dizzy Wright, DJ hoppa, and swizzz...the group was managed by swizzz's brother Dame Ritter and hopsin had enough of the bull from dame....brief history so now you know
funk volume was the label he made with his boys and his homie brother Dame was the manager and started finessing money from their tours and releases for his gambling addiction
This is actually the second song he has made about a music industry manager/label owner if you heard he made a reference to temika wright from when he was signed to ruthless which he wrote a song called "killer her" because of it
ay man just letting you know I'll mind #9 is part of like a trilogy thing so you gotta react to Hotel in Sydney, Ill Mind of Hopsin 9, and Old Us in that order
