I just want to say that I usually really like your reactions but not this one. I get I'm just one person, specifically a no one, I just get what it feels like to try over and over again to avoid the medication for adhd and this song means a lot to me. I dont blame you for how you react, it's like what NF said in an interview about his OCD and how he can explain it but unless you deal with it or closely work with someone who has a mental issue, you're not going to get it. Joyner through out the video shows how he is trying to get on without but at the end of the day, yeah you have to take it. Coping mechanism help but certain points of life for someone with adhd or other mental illnesses will be to stressful/ stress filled to deal with unmedicated. I respect him for this song and it makes me feel a little easier knowing someone doing what they love succeeding how I hope to as well. Also he is dropping adhd one song at a time and mixing it up to show the nature of adhd.
That intro might be the best rap intro I’ve ever heard, no joke. I hope it gets an actual extended song release, cause that build up just NEEDS to be completed.
Epix Fusion bro fr if you’ve ever heard sacrifices by Big Sean, it had build up but no beat drop😭 hope the full song gets one cause shit was built for it 100%
Matt Brigham Steven crowder is corny? Do you know what corny is? Overused word and not to mention Steven Crowder is amazing and embarrasses retarded college people who think it’s ok to abort
Not only that, I have ADHD and it fits perfect with the intro revenge. At the final part he says "I wanted the fame, I wanted the name, I wanted a break, I wanted to love, I wanted the cake, I wanna be great,I wanted to change and all of the above". Every human struggles with that at certain point but there are things that make that a lot more overwhelming for us. Low key every person with ADHD what to scream that and after that part he follows with that video. Hits hard
I think Joyner needed to put out a video that showed visuals of ADHD. The song to me is a perfect visual of people who have the problem. Joyner my idle though Fr 💯
He wanted to show a better representation on how living with ADHD feels/looks like. The start is basically how one would wake up, having like a million thoughts and first which then transfer into actual events around you, although these events might not actually happen ur mind does think its happening in the corner of ur eyes. Atleast thats what it feels like for me.
Dude nailed it with the shifting of the scenes... sometimes I get places and am halfway through a convo before I realize “damn I just spaced out HOW TF did I get here”.... ESPECIALLY IF I FORGET TO TAKE MY MEDICINE. Imagine having ADHD and brushing your teeth, looking at a glass of water thinking “damn I gotta take my adderall as soon as I finish my teeth” then the next time you think about a glass of water is a biz meeting for lunch, which makes you think damn I forgot my meds again 😂😂😂 hope I remember 1 damn thing from this meeting.
The video just portrays what someone going through ADHD goes through on a daily. Not being able to focus on something for long, hence the jumping visuals.
2020 and people still sleep on my boy He talked about having so many thoughts on his mind at any moment of the day and as soon as he took the drugs that were supposed to "calm down" the ADHD he felt like he was dead inside
@LayedBakDFR it's been great watching you grow man. You've honestly become the best song reaction channel on all of RU-vid imo. Love you're reactions, so genuine and your intensity and passion for what you're doing is fire.
3:24 - 3:50 is the best part of this reaction. Idk how you do it man, but you make me laugh sometimes when I watch your reactions. Keep up the great work as usual. SELF LOVE & POSITIVITY #FIRESQAUD #WANTTHESMOKE
This dude's str8 fire bro I saw him at the Boston House of blues last summer front row and this dude is THE best rapper of this generation. The symbolism at the end where he takes the pill and right after he takes the pill he says he feels like he's dying inside and goes to lie down on the bed symbolizing that when you're on medications like that they can blow you out and make you a zombie, but the whole music video when he's not on the pill you can see his talent. He's a genius. Love u Joyner keep it up 💯💪
There are so many details in this music video allot of people without adhd wouldn't understand or see instantly, when he speeds up he gets hyper and then relizes it and goes back to the normal flow, the part where he goes oftopic is just him dozing off basically, the pills they haunt you.. so many things to look at, thats probably why he released this to.. amazing
by the way: to the people who were upset about this track saying he sounded like he was trying to be post malone. joyner wrote on his social media awhile back that the upcoming songs he was gonna drop didn't sound like anything he did before. and he said he knows some people aren't gonna like it, but he doesn't care. he's an artist--and don't box him in cause he doesn't want to be a one-type-of-sound kinda guy. 🔥
Responded right when you asked. He’s doing this again because he wants people to be clear and visualize exactly what he’s talking about. We don’t have to live how everyone else wants us to live. We can be ourselves with our ADHD and still live our life. We don’t need medication, because we’ve always been who we’ve been. Nobody can change us, but ourselves. Joyner doesn’t seem the type of guy to mean that but he does. That’s why I listen to him as an artist, because when he wants to make some serious stuff and go hard, he does. That’s exactly what he does 🔥 by the way love the reactions keep it up!
ADHD is like my Anthem! every morning that I wake . I suffer from PTSD very bad and what he's saying in the song resonates very strong with me for a lot of people dealing with some heavy shit it might with them as well. for me this is something I can relate to I love the sound that he came out with
Revenge is the intro, ADHD is the song. He takes the pill at the end of the video because he gave up and stopped fighting it. That's why there are people offering him drugs for his ADHD throughout the whole video. Even the box of cereal was nothing but pills. The scenes not only depict what he is pressured with, medication to alter his annoying behavior, but the way the scenes are constantly moving captures the way ADHD works in the mind and how thoughts flow in and out that can distract you from what you are trying to say or do. Brilliant video, and worth rewatching to see all the details.
I was a Ritalin test dummy back in 6th grade. I’m 40 now. If you truly live with ADHD this song and video hits you. He nails it. It’s very accurate. The video meshes perfect.
Joyner is fire! I've been with him since the beginning, it's amazing that he's now getting the recognition he deserves. I am happy I got to see him grow.
The fact that he goes to sleep at the end really touched me because if you didn’t know adhd pills commonly have a side effect of making you drowsy and tired
Honestly I felt a deep connection to ADHD, having it myself I can relate to pretty much everything. The theme of it showing every conversation being centered around medication and not the individual was spot on
This music video is the best. It really does show what it's like to deal with ADHD on a daily basis. All those thoughts jumping from topic to topic, your mind going crazy over what seems like nothing, in the end the only way to truly suppress the annoyance that is our ADHD is by taking that cursed prescription pill so we can actually relax.
As someone with hdhd it’s difficult for example school always getting in trouble not being able to stop or concentrate not getting up for school because you can’t sleep the night before alwayssss paranoid to the point it makes you sick 🤢 anxious of how you look medication makes you someone else it traps you 🔒
Not sure if you picked up on it but the video showed how his life is. From the time he woke up multiple days seemed to go by getting more hectic before he was able to go back to sleep. I think it’s pure genius with how much talent he has. Shows how ADHD affects him and others around him.
He said he had a track with Em on ADHD so he’s got more tracks to drop. This is a great depiction of the ins and outs of someone with ADHD coming from someone who has dealt with it for 32 years. He ain’t trying to sound like Post Malone and he is an actual artist and lyricist. Poppin a pill on camera can be taken in a negative light but some people need meds in order to be able to succeed in school, work, or everyday life. He wasn’t poppin Xanax, oxy, molly, etc. Still loved the reaction
It's a pass because from experience with ADHD we fell like this song every time that people think there's something wrong with us and its killing us inside ✊👍
The pill symbolism is important. The whole video he's enjoying life even if he feels like hes dying on the inside. The medication makes him look like he feels.
He’s showing what it looks like for a person with ADHD throughout just one day and shows how overwhelming it is with everything people asking if he wants meds
