I love the cussing and the hate to the people causing the hate and controlling our world causing our pain and suffering please be polite to that they need to be destroyed
@@shanebaker2155 Yeah fam i don't know about that lol.. If someone WAS the person that you look up for doesn't mean u can't surpass him.. It's clear from now that NF will come up with a new legacy, a different one as well.
Amro El-Sheikh he can have his own legacy but it will be nowhere near as a successful as Eminem’s, therefore he will be in his shadow, and if u can’t acknowledge that then your just bias
NF Album sits at number 1. NF IS Destroying everyone and anyone that steps up to him or trying to take him out. He firing shots like no other!!! I give NF respect. A rapper that doesn't swear.
I started listening to NF yesterday after reading through the comments on one of AK's videos. NF is a monster. He deserves the recognition and I'm happy his album is/was number one. The absence of cussing is simply the icing on the cake.
The thing that I love most about NF is he can just rap without repeating himself and still some how kill the track. Most rappers re-use so much it kills the song his entire song is all new stuff
5:25 When he says, “Trash bag is prolly buried somewhere full of my ashes” refers back to Oh Lord when he said, “When I die, put my ashes in the trash bag I don't care where they go”. It’s crazy how well he connects his older songs to the new ones.
Aaron Morgan Sometimes it’s not necessarily intentional. I, for example, write a lot of raps and since in many of them I talk about the same topic, my main ideas are always there🙃
All these award shows ARE lies. Even Eminem calls the Grammys a straight gimmick. Give the award to someone that clearly sucks...that’s why NF has never went to an award show...but I’m with you, NF better win something
Did anyone notice him saying “oh lord they know me so well, they know I’m not in that casket--trash bag is prolly buried somewhere full of my ashes.”? He says “oh lord” like his song off the album therapy session and says ashes are prolly buried somewhere in a trash bag--the first line of “oh lord” is “When I die, put my ashes in a trash bag”--I’m not overthinking this, right? He clearly is referencing that song
Almost a year has passed and I’ve watched this reaction about 20 times now. Hands down best reactor on RU-vid. Love the grind my dude and that music you be doing is fire! 🔥🔥
that line is a reference to his older song "oh lord", in that song he says, "when i die put my ashes in the trash bag, i dont care where they go, dont waste your money on my gravestone, im more concerned about my soul."
@@rainbowsalt9820 why r u Laing 7.04×100000=7040000 7040000÷364 + 364 + 364 = 20 So u r watching this video for 20 years and it only came before 2 year's but let's say 3 And im sure that u r not even 20 years old
YES!!! You're the first and only reaction channel I've paid any attention to let alone subbed. Keep it up brother! This fire right here straight gives me chills.
Man, how did I just now find this channel!? All your reactions are so genuine and entertaining to watch! Exactly what I was thinking every time I heard the song for the first time.
TL;DR: I think that this song was really clever in that it was an "if the shoe fits" diss. Analysis: It took a lot of non-specific shots at other rappers and (I think) targeted Eminem subtly. Em's line "an effing recovery clone of me" was never actually confirmed to be an NF diss, but you can't confirm that it wasn't either. And it certainly sounded like it was supposed to be one. This song has several lines that I think did the exact same thing. "Drop the T and A, sometimes if I'm honest, feels like it's only me." If this line is everything I think it is, he deserves an award for the layers it has. It cleverly acknowledges that even though there is no letter I, you can find the word me (and they carry the same meaning). As far as the possible diss, dropping T and A literally spells Em, but he says on the next line "feels like it's only me", so he could very well be saying that he's not a "clone" of Eminem; he's the opposite. There's also a third way to take it. T&A can also be slang for tits and ass. NF is one of the few major name rappers whose music is clean (no objectification of women nor cuss words); when you talk about clean music, he's the only one putting it out. That last one can also go back to the diss. Em's full line was "I'd be like everyone else in the industry, especially an effing recovery clone of me". But NF is not really like anyone else in the industry because of the focus of his lyrics. In conclusion, bruh, that was an AMAZING line. "Write my name on your hitlist, might be the last time you wrote something." Eminem definitely had a hitlist in The Ringer. So he could definitely be talking about Eminem or any other rapper that puts him on a hitlist. It's possibly another subtle shot. "Shoot you out of the sky. Like your punch lines, you are not landing." I've seen a lot of people saying that this is a reference to Rap God, but I think it's a reference to the album, Kamikaze. NF could actually be making fun of the irony of the album name. As most of us know, Kamikazes were Japanese suicide pilots in WWII. These guys didn't get to land their planes, especially if they were shot down. Kamikaze pilots kind of lost no matter what. It could mean that if Eminem targeted NF and NF fired back with Returns, Eminem loses. And even if you don't take Returns to be a response to The Ringer, most listeners that have listened to NF don't agree with Eminem that NF is just like Eminem; so the punch line doesn't land and Eminem still loses. "Gun jamming." It could be referencing the Killshot song to give people pause so that they would think about these lines. Also, he just said that "bullets form in [his] mind and come out [his] mouth" and "for anyone out there doubting or acting mouthy . . . it's something for you thinking you might run circles 'round me". NF's own 'gun' is not jamming. *Wink* "I'm generic. You sure? Oh, they think I'm very reserved, 'til I open up on the beat like on my Therapy work." The flow is very similar to Eminem's flow in Kamikaze and where Eminem says "therapy chair", Nate references his Therapy album. That copy-cat style could be to draw attention to the fact that this could be taken as a response to The Ringer. Especially since he says, "I'm generic. You sure?" The line in The Ringer, if applied to NF, both called him a clone of Eminem's old music and generic ("just like everyone else in the industry"). "I've patiently been waiting, please, I think it's time for my turn." Again, a reference to a song, Patiently Waiting, by Eminem (and 50 Cent). "Take your shoes off. You're in my home." This is actually one of the first lines in Returns that could be talking directly about Eminem, but since it was disconnected from the others I just put it here. A reference to Beautiful by Eminem? In that song, the pre-chorus is "I'll be you. Let's trade shoes just to see what it'd be like to feel your pain, you feel mine. Go inside each other's minds just to see what we find". Nate refers to his mind as a mansion, a home. This line could be NF saying that while Eminem thinks he knows what he is all about, he really has no idea what he's like and that he needs to 'trade shoes' and actually pay attention to what has been going on in Nate's mind and lyrics. And finally the title. Returns. As in returned disses. I think these lyrics were meant for Eminem to take them as disses if Eminem put out a diss, but they were non-specific enough not to start anything that hadn't already been started. I really think that was on purpose, and (perhaps more importantly) it shows that NF can go toe to toe with Eminem's lyrical ability. For anyone taking sides, I'm not saying he would win. I don't know who would win. But I definitely think that NF has one of the best chances of any rapper out there.
I read this entire thing and I agree with you on everything and you get an A+ from me. I do think that NF would by FAR be Eminem’s toughest opponent ever, these 2 are my top 2 favorite artists and it would be insane to see a battle between them. I would root for NF only because it’s a David Vs Goliath type situation and I want the underdog (NF) to come out victorious over a basically undefeated giant in rap.
I think you over analyzed it to the extreme. But, I wont discredit the fact that all of what you wrote down does actually make sense. I just don't think NF was going to that full extent to drop a subliminal message. Yes I believe the "an effing recovery clone of me" was a shot at NF, and the "drop the T and A" line was a shot back at Eminem. But I honestly think that was about it for a quick shot. Em didn't go all out on NF, because why would he? So I don't believe NF is gonna go all out on Em. Just my opinion about it. You did well with your comparisons though.
Imo it’s more worth your time taking the NF journey instead of bouncing around videos. I’m pretty sure there are comments on here or other NF videos but it is well worth it
I’ve been a fan of nf since his EP and it makes me so happy to see how far he’s come and see so many other people love him and notice how good he is 🥺🥰
@@suryapratapsisodia5927 um nf don't need that Grammy nf is huge already Grammy is a award that is just showing people that this rapper or singer has talent but non of these people is that good accept eminem, nf ,Joyner lucas, logic ,and Tory lanez
I got goosebumps man. This is the first time I am listening to returns. Damn man his energy level is astronomical. I feel more alive while listing to NF's songs. Such an underrated artist. He deserves more recognition. 💗
It really is quite an experience when you got gooooood headphones on while listening to this. I feel ya man. The sounds n beats in this one are crazy 💯🙌🏼
You gotta do NF- Interlude man, it's only 50 seconds, it's not a song just him talking, but trust me that talk.. Man that talk was the real shit. Pure realness.
This is why i love your channel man. You feel the hits with it without loosing the feeling in the lyrics. Your bits are straight to the point and you vibe with it.
_I have to tell that I love the way you feel and react on his song_ _That's the exact same way I feel and react on some of his songs_ _It made me tear up cuz I was happy to see the same vibe I have_ _Hope he will keep making masterpieces like this cuz he is number 1 for me_ *NF4L* *Mad love and respect*
nf is my favourite artist , and i love your reactions. combining them both is perfection , i come back and rewatch this video all the time , i appreciate you man ❤️
Probably was. Eminem released kamikaze and and made a jab at NF in the song. NF comes back saying anyone stepping to him he'll dislocate their feet and shoot them out the sky. I mean NF always seems to choose his words carefully
The can't stop until things are clean line made more sense to me when I found out he has OCD, that's what a lot of his songs are about and I'd imagine why he's so hard on himself too. That's what really got me hooked on his music though was I really relate to that because of my own mental illness that makes me way harder on myself than I oughta be sometimes.
This entire song feels like it’s building to a Climax that never quite comes. It’s just exploding, lifting you higher and higher, but it gently lets you down at the end, Feeling exhausted but still not quite satisfied. We want more. And that’s what NF does so well. He’s slowly turning that dial past 11, can’t wait to see what this guy continues to do.
