@@dothemario8244 Yeah, he’s said in interviews about it because up until last year they had never cancelled a show, even when suffering from illness. I believe their crew at the time actually tried to convince him to cancel the show, but Tyler said that they wouldn’t cancel any shows they do unless they absolutely have to. It’s really cool.
I have listened to both the record version and live version. That said, I feel the song is significantly elevated with the inclusion of the trumpet. There is a depth and texture to the overall piece that is reached with the trumpet's sound that doesn't get reached without it. The punchy and vibrant wail that the trumpet brings also makes this version of the track way more memorable. Lastly as far as not hearing the lead, I feel the live version/video was meant to feature Dr. Blum over anything else. Just my two cents, keep up the great work LayedBak.
Never would have been able to explain it like this but yes the trumpet definitely enhances the song along with the drums. I wish the trumpet was in the original.
I was gonna put the link in from when someone recorded at the Minneapolis show I was at because Tyler's vocals are more prominent, but just watched again and not only can you hear Tyler better, also someone right by the recorder 😂 Did you also get Somewhere over the Rainbow?
One of my fave tøp performances! No, it wasn't just you. Seems like his mic was low. Please react to mv for Fairly Local and Migraine captured in The Live Room
Fall Away is from their self titled album, so people singing along makes me really wanna cry. I love the clique. They're so dedicated. Edit: TØP album is Tyler's second album. First is No Phun Intended (I think).
okay order i’ve been a fan since regional so y’all know this is accurate lol no phun intended (tyler’s album) self titled (first tøp album before josh) regional at best (josh is in the band) vessel blurryface trench
You will LOVE Migraine in the Live Room performance. The drums are 🔥🔥🔥. Josh is hitting the crap out of them. My 48-year-old self was completely inspired and started taking drum lessons after seeing them live three times this year. Love the passion of both these boys. Good stuff!! Enjoy the reactions! Woohoo!
They are actually amazing live you need to see them, when I saw them live I was lucky enough to actually be one of the people to hold up Josh Dun (the drummer) on the wooden platform
No matter how many times I hear their songs over and over again. I will never, not once, not move when the beat drops. I’ll at least bop my head and in most cases I start going actually crazy. Too good
k k nah i know abt that, i’m just saying they’re not doing another leg of the bandito tour for a while. festivals are out of the country too so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I went to one of their shows during the trench Era and I can confirm that shit was WILD. The energy was so insane, they were at 110% throughout the entire show and it was just such a good time. I was 4 feet from Josh when he was drumming in the crowd, he was PERFECTLY in time. They really are a talented duo.
“This is good music!” The truest statement I’ve ever heard in my life!!! Phenomenal music!!! It doesn’t just transcend music genres, it transcends music!! They create art!! What they create and bless the world with has honestly helped so many people in different ways it’s amazing!! I have had such a connection with their music that Twenty One Pilots helped me find the strength to stop using drugs (a specific hard drug that makes you become so completely physically and mentally dependent on it that you lose sight of who u really r. Makes u do things you know are wrong and would never do. Makes you both numb to everything and hopeless at the same time). Their music made me really think about my life and how I’ve lost relationships, let close friendships fall to the weigh-side, let my health decline, gave up thinking about my future, stopped striving to better myself everyday and most importantly how much I hurt my family. The claws of addiction were just dug into me so deep that nothing else mattered. And when I started listening to Twenty One Pilots, not just a couple songs I heard on the radio that I just mindlessly sang along to or somethin, but when I started going through their entire discography and really listened to their music, felt the music, took the lyrics and broke them down in a way that connected so deeply with me that I became emotionally invested in each and every song in a way that no other music had ever really made me feel and internalize that something just hit home with me and it clicked. I was able to find the strength, the inner willpower, the belief that I can quit this and the purpose to stay in the right frame of mind and not slip back into the desire to not want to feel emtions. Anytime I’m having a rough day and I just want to get out of that rut, I don’t think about numbing myself to the world anymore. I’ll go for a drive and crank some Twenty One Pilots and lean into those emotions n sorta let em out. It’s amazing that music can do such incredible things for people and when you create music that can bring out different emotions in people and inspire anyone to face anything they’ve been struggling with, whether something small and mundane or something that may be the most difficult and challenging thing they will ever have to face in their entire lives that is when you are truly a more than just a musician and you’re a true artist that creates something that genuinely is moving for people that connect with it. I wish I could personally say thank you to Tyler and Josh because I believe they honestly helped save my life and I am forever grateful 🙏🙏🙏
It’s awesome that 21 Pilots can appeal to so many different people that have all different tastes in music! And they know one of the most important things in performing music live is give your paying fans a real experience!!! These 2 bring everything they have to the stage every single time their up there and that is a lost art now a days
Every time you get hyped, it makes me hyped with you. You make me fall in love with these songs all over again. Love your twenty one pilots videos, they made me check out your other videos and your music which I love as well. Keep it up :) Some of my favorite twenty one pilots song that you haven’t heard yet are Migraine and Polarize
yooo thank you! I was one of the many that asked for this! This video and songs my fave! I was so thankful to see this live! I was rocking out and freaking out with you even though I’ve watched the original over and over again before. It just hypes you up everytime man! You should do morph live! You’ll see josh in the crowd 🤭 also Lane Boy live!! That song live is CRAZY!
I’m sooo pumped you did this. There are barley any reactions to this , and the ones that are there are shitty. One of my favorite performances from TOP.
I agree about the difficulty hearing Tyler's vocals, but this is still probably one of my favorite live performances of theirs. The trumpet just adds something special!
Hey dude, I go to thank you, I don't know if you heard something like this before but you literally changed my life. First I started watching your videos probably the same reason why everyone did,it's interesting to see an artist that's involved with different kinds of genres reacting to something that's not familiar to them. Since I started watching your reactions and how you really just enjoy music something clicked and I have started enjoying music again,it's been a long time since I listened to a song and just felt that feeling. Much love!
Definitely go see them live! They were awesome on the Blurry face tour in Norfolk VA! They are so interactive with the crowd like no other band I've seen.
I got to do a meet and greet with them in Atlanta. They are great (even though I am sure they met a thousand people that day) they were still super chill and nice when we got our pic with them.
Thank you soooooo much for doing this specific song and video!!!!! I honestly think that Tyler's vocals were turned down on purpose for this song. They really wanted to highlight Dr.Blum. Its extremely rare for them to do features. Also bro got your back on letting you know when they are coming back to ATL. It's going to be a minute because they just wrapped the second leg of the tour.
The Atlanta show was amazing! I flew there to see the show again after Tampa...was excited about them replaying this w/Dr.Blum. But that Jumpsuit/Levitate/Heavydirtysoul was 🔥 you missed out!!
Sø glad you love them. You have to remember that the live crowd (also known as the clique ) take over. So it may seem weird on audio, but live it’s so powerful. This song ( my interpretation) is I have to do what I have to do day by day... “keep the lights on “, but... “I die as I wait as on my crime And I'll try to delay what you make of my life But I don't want your way I want mine “ We’re all trying to find a balance of what is our passion and what is responsible.
Also about the tour they just wrapped up tour as its the holidays and tylers baby is due any time now but i predict next summer or fall when the baby is somewhat grown theyll be back.
MrSucc are you serious!! What about the baby! I thought she was due like December or January ! Regardless ill throw down $1 million to see them anyday ive been like 10 times and everytime its unbelievable
They're playing 2 radio station "Christmas" acoustic shows this weekend with a bunch of other bands in California, then next weekend in Chicago with just one opener, so don't know if that will be a full show or not.
