We found a rare Yamaha YZF 750SP that hadn't run for 20 years. Will it even start? If it does will it ride like a pile? Is this click bait? Yamaha never built a 750! These guys are morons.

The only reason why these bikes are not seen around as much anymore is the lack of parts. I would like to support worldwide parts on classics and vintage rides to keep them alive!

Absolutely the problem is most people ride the piss out of these old bikes and turn them into some stunt bike or trash them it's sad really because they're worth something and a lot of people see those old bikes at the bike night and it brings back memories I have a 1990 fzr 1000 then I'm going to get back together one day I'm just looking for somebody in the Tampa Bay area that actually knows how to do Real Performance work we used to have Elite performance but they went years ago wish I knew where Gary was at thinking of freshening up the old f z r with 98 99 R1 rear tail section Plastics and using the rear sub frame from a 99 R6 being the fzr subframe bolts on to the Mainframe and so does the R6 I figured I'd give it a go my other love is my 97 yzf750 which is altogether it just needs somebody work new tires and the carbs cleaned and I think it has a leaky clutch but I'm thinking about freshing it up to by using the same year R1 tail section but actually using a R1 rear tail section I know a welder cut off the subframe of the 750 and weld on the R1 subframe and I even have a spare fzr 1000 motor in the back to do a 750/1000 hybrid later on I have lots of ideas just not a lot of money lol but dammit I'm going to collect my treasures I'm 6 foot 3 and weigh about 250 none of the new bikes appeal to me they certainly don't fit me I do like the new ZX-14 and I'll be damned if I'm going to go buy a Hayabusa everybody has one I can't stand them for that I want something nobody got or hardly anybody has and for the price of the new bike I can fix up my old bike

I got a 94 YZF 750 R and I have decided to tear it down and rebuild her. Everyone who has riden it fell in love with it. Pulls like a freaking rocket. Beautiful bike!

2 powerbands - 5K & 8K. Pulls all the way to redline. Got a full Hindle pipe and jet kit on mine- keeps the low & mid range intact. A full Yosh totally killed the bottom end- wouldn't pull a fart below 5K. The Hindle drops 18 lbs as well.

Sileve Sileve awesome! I’ve decided to completely rebuild mine. Debating whether to activate the ex-up with VH exhaust, but going to check out Hindle you mentioned.

@@never_2_old_fitness313 I don't have any Dyno numbers unfortunately. The K&N air filters are a given, of course. Sorry I don't know any of the part numbers offhand... Looking around- maybe try Hindle directly. DO NOT go to StarCycle- I've had a terrible experience with them.

Sileve Sileve when mine was running, with no carb sync, vacuum leaks, and running straight D&D exhaust, it peaked at 119 hp. I’m sure rebuilt it can reach those 140’s and 150 numbers a buddy of mine use to get when he raced them back in the 90’s.

It's a treasure because it's the Grandaddy of all YZF SP''s that came after it. It also won several BSB championships and multiple WSBK races in it's day. Sadly it didn't win the WSBK championship but it came very close in the hands of Haga

I have a few of these sadly they were overlooked by the Honda fireblade and in my humble opinion this was and still is a much better bike as a racer They are fast they are nimble and also quite comfortable to ride I can stiil keep up with modern bikes and i am by no means a good rider !!! The paint work etc is also every bit as good as the Honda just a good honest bike thanks for the up load made good viewing thank you !!

This guy is claiming its making 150-160hp and i highly doubt that. These motors made around 120 stock when new. They are carb engines and are 750cc not 1000cc. Without taking apart the engine and modifying it with lighter parts and stroking/boring it for displacement he has at best 130

Question! I have a 2017 sv 650 and according to the dealer because it uses shims valves, i might not need to worry about adjustment un till close to 100k kilometers. Do shims last much longer than the regular valve adjustment?
@jimmyjames2549
@jimmyjames2549 5 лет назад
All modern bikes use shim under bucket valve train. The Suzuki owners manual states valve check at 14500 miles. Shims do last longer than rocker arm type systems but nothing would go 62k miles in an SV engine.
@AdvBrewery
@AdvBrewery 5 лет назад
Just check the clearance every 16K miles. SV engines are notoriously reliable
