I’m surprised that this thing ran when tested; one of the reasons this model is so unpopular (and STILL struggling to sell at bargain prices from retailers) as well as being an odd prototype was a seriously overcomplicated design that was so easily broken. The lack of spares was a seriously sour bonus. I knew of someone on here who ended up having to remove all the electronics inside and replace the motor and shafts with that from a Railroad issue Class 20; all the standard equipment had gone belly up. Can’t remember who for the life of me as it was years ago! I must be honest I’ve always wanted one of these but the fragile nature has put me off. Maybe if they get even cheaper.. You did a marvellous job of repairing the pantograph and you should applaud yourself for the attempt as many simply wouldn’t have the courage!

Quite liked that one, nice to see the mistakes too cos we all get to learn from it.

that was fiddly but great runner now, very interesting l like the trash to track videos great to watch and see the end result
