A pi zero w would be better. If you don't know what that is, its a fully functional pi that's half the size of a credit card. It might not be able to run anything higher than an SNES tho....
Your video made me REALIZE Nintendo would have sold a lot of Wii Us if they changed the color scheme to a less iPhone look and ditched the lame "Wii" name. I STILL have to explain to people that the Wii U is NOT the Wii or an add on.
I had a Wii U sitting in my room, playing the games albeit on the same shelf as my wii but my Sister at the age of 17 didn't even know Wii U wasn't an addon and she played A LOT of minecraft, quite the gamer.
I am playing Breath of the Wild on the Wii U, and mainly on the gamepad...and I am loving it. This system is so good, shame they didnt rename and market it properly.
Dharmaboy yea I have it for the Wii U also and even though I have a Switch now I see no reason to buy Zelda for the Switch because it's so good on the Wii U. I love my Wii U and am super glad I Bought it
@@LennyQUMFIF No that would have caused people to not want it even more due to it seeming like a rehased wii same reason why the wii u failed why get it when you have a wii already
Nice mod, inspired me to complete my own. My Gamepad had a smashed LCD, drifting left stick. Refitted now with new PCB's and XBOX Elite controller analogue sticks and all I can say is, it just feels exactly like the Xbox Elite controller. No longer is it a disadvantage to use Gamepad in multiplayer! I also just kept Nintendo's original D-pad in, it felt better.
My gamepad from my over 10 year old launch Wii U works still perfectly. The Wii U was a quality product. There's nothing like a Stick drift or other modern controller problems.
That Wii U gamepad is back to life... absolutely amazing. I've been very careful with my gamepad because I know it's not easy to replace. So this is great.
Did you find this to be a particularly easy teardown? I've color swapped my Nintendo Switch, Joycons, numerous Gameboys, controllers etc.. so i have some experience I would like to color swap my Wii U gamepad to make it white. I cannot seem to find a general tear down video so I was going to just take a risk. What are your thoughts?
I like the black buttons and black joysticks but the black back with white battery cover and triggers isn't to my taste, if I did anything I'd keep the back entirely white and have black triggers. I have black buttons and joystick tops on order for my white gamepad but will probably be leaving the power, TV and home buttons white and changing everything else to black, not decided on the triggers yet and will see what it looks like when they arrive.
he said in the VIDEO he orderd the screen replacement parts on amazon what the fuck is wrong with you. and the xbox parts are from amazon aswell. he is talking about the REPLACEMENT parts and not the broken wii u gamepad he bought from ebay
I cant figure this out either... I thought it would be a simple button swap but I've been at this for hours... any thing you tried to get it working? Sorry for replying to a really old comment
did the xbox elite controller parts fit into the wii u gamepad naturally or did you have to modify the plastic anywhere on the elite parts or the wii u parts to accommodate those parts fitting properly?
The d-pad of the xbox one controller has nothing to do with the d-pad of the 360 controller, the d-pad of the xbone is great, don't know about the elite, I guess It will be all right if it cost 150€
Was it difficult to sub in the elite DPad? It looks to be the same size as the cutout on the face of the device. Looking at the actual component on eBay, it looks like some modifications may need to be done inside the shell to fit it.
wii u d pad was arguably the best ever made, and for arcade games wii u is dope, it's just fucking annoying that the gamepad turns on automatically every time u turn ur console on
This is simply amazing. What a way to bring the gamepad back to life and with some kick. I had to sub. Did you ever get a broken/failed item and was not able to work your magic?
+2econd Player- Hey, thanks for the positive comments. Yeah I've had some items not work when I was done, But it feels pretty awesome when it does work. Thanks again for watching, keep an eye out I have some more trash to treasure videos hitting soon.
I like this tablet controller, I really wish if the switch supports it for use with certain games that can benefit from displaying stuff on the second screen such as zelda breath of the wild.
I like the contrast on the Wii U gamepad with the black buttons on a white case. Is there a certain place to get these? Does the knobs have to come off like you showed? Also can the left plus shaped buttons below the knob have to be magnetic? Can it just be black and not removable? Can you make a tutorial on how to change out the buttons on the white wii U controller shell?
oh yes i'd like to see how to use a wii u gamepad (screen and all except for the os) to make a bigger PS Vita and add a cartridge slot for the Vita carts
Do you have a tutorial on this? Or is it just plug and play? Do I have to shave any parts of the shell for this? I know this is like 7 years late but please I still enjoy this console
Wish I know how to do this. My gamepad has collected a lot of micro scratches over the years. I cover it with a hori case just so I don't see the scratches 😅
So.. everyone here says the wii u is dead?.... The wii u had great games like smash bros, super mario 3D world, mario kart 8, splatoon, etc i know what you will say "they ALL will have ports on the switch and some already have them" but if games (for example splatoon) didnt exist on the wii u it wouldnt exist on the switch
So my game pad has a yellow tinted line on the left side of the screen maybe a quarter inch but just a straight line. I had it in my closet for some years without turning on, any have any ideas what it is or why it did that? It’s not power saver mode because beyond that quarter inch it’s the normal white bright screen.
nintendo sold a crap ton of wii units and they just wanted to make a more personal system that all game developers shyed away from because they didnt fell like programming for the strange and cool wii u game pad.
You didn't factor in the cost of the damaged Gamepad. So overall, you would have spent around $100. So for another $40 you could have bought a brand new one?
MadTrash RU-vid Hey, I'm not talking about the Wii U itself (well, a little bit). I'm talking about the Elite controller because it's $150 and absolutely fucking useless.
