Music video for Trashy Women by Confederate Railroad. Featuring American country artist Jeannie Seely, as the mother and Stonewall Jackson as the emcee. 1993.
This was one of my dad's favorite songs, as he said this was practically written about him, and that my mom fit the song (she really did... she was even the manager/bartender of a Go-Go Club (that's 70's speak for strip club for those that don't know) where he met her haha.) They were married after only 3 months of dating in 1972, and he passed in 1999 after 27 years of marriage.
Have you ever listened to Jerry Jeff Walkers version of this? Chris Wall wrote it but JJW originally recorded it. He's got a great version of this you should check it out.
I remember pulling that with my grandparents I'm sure they're rolling in their earns telling me fuck off. Shit why would they expect me to be anything other then white trash, hell it's trash can not trash can't.
I remember when this song 🎵 came out in the 90s I just got out of nursing school, I went in a patient 's room ,she was a 80 year old lady watching this video on TV 📺 and said she loved it ❤ 😎
Don't change your name boys... you're alright down in our end of the country!!! Pompano Beach Amp ... we love Cadillac Three, CDB, Dwight, Vince and even old Willie, so we really would love to see you guys soon!!!
"They say that opposites attract, well I don't agree. I want a woman just as tacky as me". My favorite part of this song! I also like my women like that. This one's a '90s country classic!
Pardon me son but she aint no kid thats a coctail waitress in a Dolly Parton wig. I know it dad aint she cool thats the kind i dig. Two best parts of the whole song
Love it i took my hair dresser to my grad she was almost old enough to be my mom Jackie i learned more from you in one weekend than 12 years of schooling thank you!!!!!!
I was a bounty hunter in the 90's I found a lady bail jumper in a bar in downtown Muskogee Ok. she had no idea who I was, but she was there dancing with all the guys, so I waited and took my turn for a spin around the dance floor, this was the song that was playing that night, I danced her around a little and whispered in her ear, lets go outside, I danced her right out the back door, surprised her when I put handcuffs on her and carted her off to jail. this song always makes me smile.
This is a genuinely funny video and a well written and well performed song. It is why musicians play music and writers write songs--coming up with this gem is a stroke of masterful genius! Well done. Well performed. Humble in it's humor.
Whoever said these guys were a hybrid between Alabama and lynyrd skynyrd was correct. I remember my uncle having confederate railroad's rockin country party pack video, and exposing me to awesomeness. Thanks uncle Clarence!
Not too long after this song/video appeared and a challenged dare, I sang this song and danced with a woman who was a bit trashy at a wedding reception of a friend of mine and his bride. Was a big hit, lots of laughs and received a great applause afterwards. It was hysterical actually, but fun. Would do it again, but can't sing worth a darn anymore. Great memories. Thanks for posting.
I saw them in Myrtle Beach when I lived there. My sister in law and I had a girls night out watching them and having drinks, dancing and just plain ol' fun!
I love this song! It was first released in summer 1993, and ever since I can't get enough of this song! And yes, I like do my women just a little on the trashy side.
My daughter was about 3 when she went to church one Sunday with her older cousins. Pentecostal Church. The cousins never asked to take her again after she sang "Play That Funky Music , White Boy" for her Sunday School class.
I have a friend that knows Danny Shirley. Last month when they were in Marion, Illinois, We went to the gun range with them before the show. We had a blast and they are a bunch of great guys. Not shabby shooters too! Thanks guys for the fun!
I loved this song when it came out in the 90’s and still do. Great Friday song. Thanks for sharing this awesome song. Have a great weekend. Wally will be gone trying to get a deer…
Joey D You know what you just described today's country music dead on! I've been trying to come up with the perfect way to describe it and you just did it perfectly! Bro Country!!
@@misspipeliner208 - Yes. Just even rock n roll to spice it up. Then they wentnto far. The old Nashville Guard finally died off. But, they are in it to sell product.
I got to hang with the Railroad about a year ago. Friend of mine is friends with Danny Shirley. I got backstage pass and even allowed to be standing on the stage during their show. MO has some good jokes. Got a tour of their bus also.
I already knew of them, danced to their songs at C/W Lounges/Night Clubs when they were really famous....either DJ or the live C/W cover bands played their songs.
That's why I looked them up! Did I get had? The music is good! Is the story true? If they needed a couple of extra days off and some publicity, this sure would fit the bill.
This was the BADDEST country band ever! I play their CD's all the time. Too bad they faded away. Why in the Hell do all the good bands drop off the globe?
They're playing in a small town festival. thesouthern.com/entertainment/music/countryscene/confederate-railroad-to-play-eldorado-town-and-country-days/article_ac655e85-d7eb-5d43-8821-23ad5094f6d6.html
I remember this in the early 90's! I can't believe the Universal Southern Charm Pageant on the Painted Babies documentary played this during the Western Wear competition! lol
Im 11 and i met the band on 9-29-2013. He was with roger alan wade, the other guys and carrie hassler. What a good night. I got a picture with him and everything
I had a old girlfriend that I use to sing this all the time man was she so much fun,I saw here in 2015 at grocery store and the next month I read her obituary in the paper only 42 such a good person.
This was the song my only soulmate and love used to sing all the x bc of how I kept my hair dyed & I had the body so I showed as much as I could really tight an hardly any thing covered. 💯
I must have seize the moment my son's Savoy used to sing this at the waffle House in 1993 to the waitresses sitting there with the zoo crew on Thornton road Douglasville
I completely forgot about this band my wife & I were living on Franklin Rd in Marietta right across from Miss Kitty's in 86-88 when they were playing around that part of town cause that's where their from. Seems I remember them from Murph's off S Cobb Dr & a place down the street on Franklin they wouldn't have been big enough for Miss Kittie's then. Everybody listened to them then but music changed & we got older, shit I grew up with the Atlanta Rhythm Section in Doraville even went to 2 Champagne Jams & never listen to them anymore either.
love this old song, Confedrate Railroad will be at Freedom Hall on July 4th, ive been going since i was 13, im 38 now. But still a little on the Trashy SIDE!
Saw them in concert and never would see them again.I have seen alot of country concerts and they are the only group that didn't sign autographs.only if you were in their fan club.
Back when country music was damn good and made you feel good all at the same time. Unlike that shit they call country music today. Do you hear me Taylor Swift? ☻
Heard this song for years and never knew Jerry Jeff Walker wrote it. Today's auto tuned country have shoved him and this decent little country band to the sidelines.
That's not country what you hear today... I know, what does an Epica fan know about country, right? Well, I dated a guy who was around country...and not by choice lol! Pop went the same way as country with all the auto tune. GRRRR! Knew most of the 90s country when it was a rock-country hybrid. It wasn't bad at all, and it had a story to tell, I agree with you.
Jeannie was from Titusville which is like 30 minutes from my house so its cool to have her and Pat Monahan as artist that I listen too and knowing they are from here makes them even better
best memory. my 13 year old son and his daddy singing duet and. the knowing look they passed the gleem in their eyes the smile when they startes a new frame. like father like son. his daddy was proud
Hell yes brother. When we met, I had crates of cash. Now? I think I got maybe 8 bucks in my wallet and another 20 in the bank........Had a '70 Chevelle, and a '69 442. Cabin in the woods on my own private lake. A boat.......Now I rent from the old man. The day she moved out, she stole all my classic Donald Duck comic books, AND my last case of Budweiser. Just to piss me off. Well, it did.
