Trask Assault 2-1 Exhaust Sound Clip & Dyno Numbers on 2020 Harley Road Glide

This time around we installed the Trask Assault 2-1 Exhaust pipe to see how the numbers looked and how the pipe sounded. It put out some good numbers for a 2-1 and was louder than expected under acceleration. Idle has a crisp deep sound. Under acceleration this is a pipe you can definitly hear coming around the corner. I love the content you guys have out there. I have a D&D fat cat and a 107 revolution performance kit on my 2012 road glide ultra. I’m really liking the trask content you’ve created. As an all day rider, the D&D is almost too loud, if I want a stainless exhaust, but want something that doesn’t hurt performance but ideally is quieter. Any recommendations?

For Stainless I'd probably recommend the Bassani. It has a really nice/unique sound to it and isn't overly loud. Generally the shorter the pipe the louder and the Trask is louder than any Bassani pipe I'd say.

Sounds real good but I would be worried that the short exhaust would eventually ruin my saddlebag. I see only a small piece of protective metal at the back of the bag. Needs to extend the whole length of the bag.

This is just exhaust, air cleaner and tune.

Have a 21 FXLRS and put this pipe on with the Trask ac also. Have an S&S 128 kit, SE 55mm manifold, S&S 550 cam, and going to have them do the dyno tune with Technoresearch. Will this pipe do my setup justice or should I be looking at something else? Thanks in advance.

It'd be pretty good. Softail pipes are difficult due to the design of the bike and length is limited. Horsepower Inc and Jackpot RTX Riot is a good one to check out for the M8 Softail also.

Nope. They won’t burn it up. Might make it hotter but doubtful it will melt it

Great content, these Video’s helping a lot with the search, Looking for a great sounding decent performance pipe. Trask is looking like it’s in the lead right now. Any suggestion on an all around best bang for your bucks 2-1 bagger pipe?

Bang for the buck if you like it louder then the Trask is a great choice. Otherwise the Bassani or Jackpot RTX is a good choice also.

Not much for the new bikes after the evolution but some of these sound pretty good even though the idle is computer controlled can't beat that low idle of an EVO or Shovelhead or pan just got that good classic sound not easily adjustable anymore. Stupid computers.

In this video it was the Arlen Ness Big Sucker air cleaner and it uses the stock cover only. It performs just as well as any other aftermarket air cleaner and is a great option if you're trying to save some $ or keep a factory look. It has since been changed and replaced with HPI Tunnel ram
