I wanted this video to spread awareness about anxiety. Someone that is having an anxiety and/or panic attack will look different from the next person and how you help that person also changes. I tried to cover different versions of an attack through out the video, and what could happen if they are not helped, even though they probably won't ask for it.
The first verse is her just sitting there and she looks fine, maybe just a little tense. Some attacks don't look like anything is happening so they are hard to notice but it is still a fight to over come for them. Most people don't like to show that they are having an attack so they try to hide it which usually only works for a short amount of time.
The second verse she hasn't completely caved but is slowly getting worse. She can no longer sit still and is short of breath. This type of attack is more easily seen but the person experiencing it could still be very scared but doesn't want to ask for help.
The last verse tends to be the hardest one to deal with. She starts to shake uncontrollably and is still short of breath. This type of attack is very hard to over come. The person dealing with it might ask for help but it is still not likely. They might rather hurt themselves mentally and/or physically (as shown at the end of video) just so they don't feel like they are a burden to others.
There are other types of ways a person can experience an attack, these are just a few of the most common ones I have seen. If you see someone with these signs please don't ignore them but try to help them to the best of your ability with what is best for them in mind. If you are someone that gets panic and/or anxiety attacks please do not hesitate to ask for help. There is a good chance that someone is willing to help because they care about you and truly want to help and see you happy and in a good place.
