I had those Leatherman "Raptor Rescue 6-in-1 emergency / trauma shears" in my "go bag" 1st aid trauma kit. When my son graduated nursing school and started working in ICU's, I gave them to him. He still uses them every day. Props for a great out-of-the-norm tool box tour!
Awesome video, love it that it was different especially from the common routine just Snap-on box and all Snap-On tools. Like it there was diversity in tool brands🔨🔧🪛🧰🔩
I used those milwaukee electrical pliers for a few years it works great my only gripe with it was where the crimper is if youre not careful itll cut a wire while youre crimping... yea done it few times switched to the OTC one
Very cool, finally a guy that can fix my jet ski and reattach my leg after I crash! Very cool set up and a very cool guy! Another great tour my friend!
Awesome video man! I have a set of witte screwdrivers from Matco and they’re damn good but I’m seriously tempted to drop 50 bucks on them vessel screwdrivers!
What is JIS DRIVE? JIS means Japanese Industrial Standards. This standard is applied for Japanese Standards screws, and is mainly used in Japanese-made cars, motorcycles, home appliances, etc. The tips of VESSEL screwdrivers and bits are manufactured in accordance with the JIS standard..
Very interesting. I bought a set of JIS screwdrivers because most of my bikes are Japanese. I'll have to check out the "dimple thing". Also, if you own a jet ski that's in the "40k range" you're frickin' insane. 🤣
The JIS standard governing them was removed almost 20 years ago, replaced by ISO. Sure, there's still millions of JIS screws out there, but S-O will tell you their drivers fit them...which is kinda-sorta correct.
I've got the CAT sockets and that SnapOn dual 88 purple hard handle..among other SnapOn stuff..but the CAT sockets are identical obviously except for the name 22:20... I've got the Doyle 5" with pipe jaws..solid vises
I followed-up on this, in the hope that the VIM branded version was identical and priced better than the $241.50 S/O wants for the 40-pc set (for S/O part # BLPBSS40). Closest thing I found on AMZ and in the VIM catalog (off their website) was VIM 50 pc 1/4" stubby set, (VIM part # MMS450), for about close to half the price. Did a direct comparison: the S/O set has Torx "tamper resistant" security bits (with the dimple in the middle), vs the VIM set, which has standard (non-security) Torx bits. The VIM set also has 8 Torx PLUS bits (IP15-50), which the S/O set doesn't have. So there's the difference. Sure someone wanting Torx Security bits could just add those separately, but they wouldn't be the "stubby" shorter version.
