Wow 340° is almost direct crosswing and pilots landed so smoothly and no go arround. Only plane which seemed to have troubles was the last TAP Airbus otherwise it looked like the wind was not a big deal :)

Very nice video as usual ! And this is the second time I am on your videos Samuel (last time was on runway 23 with extreme winds in december). I am the captain of the first landing airplane (Transavia F-HTVG). We arrived from Porto and the wind was just at the limits. It was quite turbulent turning on final but not so extreme. Sometimes it is quite more bumpy, and often, I have to say, it is very smooth and we definitively prefer that :-)

When you have to accelerate just before the wheels touch down and then slam the brakes, WOW. That takes skills and cool nerves, Nice job TAP.

now THAT is some of the sweetest work done in the cockpit and i hope they get the recognition they deserve ....the Jet2.... is my best for good landings.... and the portugal jus might want to ck on a tail strike.....anyway thats some of the best i have ever seen...akin to landing on a carrier in rough seas

Hi, do you have any footage of a Jet2 flight landing on this day, it aborted on the 1st attempt and landed on the 2nd. Just wondering as I was on the flight!

2Holidays has the best pilot. But there is no trauma at all. Every pilot only grows his skills by special situations, not by normal !

Dla ogladajacych, którzy mogą nie wiedzieć. Otóż wszelkie lądowania i starty muszą być czynione pod wiatr. Chodzi o zapewnienie odpowiedniej siły nośnej dla startującego lub lądującego samolotu lub śmigłowca, I właśnie z uwzglednieniem tego buduje się lotniska (usytułowanie ) pasa startowego lotniska oraz ustawienie lotniskowca na morzu! Zawsze po wiatr, a już uchowaj Boże z wiatrem bocznym! Ale przyroda czyni często figle i wiatry nie zawsze wieją wzdluź pasa, przeto załoga musi to w trakcie ladowania korygować, by doziemić bezpiecznie! Dym spod kół? Jest efektem silnego tarcia opony o pas, która przed lądowaniem była w bez ruchu! Dla duźych jednostek i lądujacych przy większych prędkościach jest wprowadzona opcja wstepnego " rozkrecenia" kół podwozia, które przed zetknięciem się z pasem, już się obracają zmiejszając tym samym wielkość tarcia! Dodam, że ogumnienie w samolotach jest wymieniane po upływie określonego czasu jego użytkowania i ( lub) po wykonaniu określonej ilości lądowań! I zdarza sie czasem ,że zupełnie nowe opony zostają wymienione,gdy wyczerpią limit ,przyjętych dla nich ladowań! Dla kaźdego samolotu są to indywidualne ustalenia i normy!

To odpowiedz do Michała B., bo jego komentarz nigdzie tutaj nie widnieje, a ukazał się na powiadomieniach!Otóż by zarzucać pod danym komentarzem "bzdury" samemu trzeba wcześniej reprezentować wiedzę nie równą, ale zdecydowanie wyższą od osoby, której komentarz się kwestionuje. W moim komentarzu nie ma bzdur a jedynie elementarz lotniczy, wyjaśniające istotę lądowania statku powietrznego.A można to tylko uznać za bzdury, kiedy poziom wiedzy kwestionującego komentarz nie pozwala na argumentację techniczną, naukową, lub chociażby tą, która wynika z lotniczego doświadczenia! amazing footage, but i failed to see the traumatic part.... hence, disliked for lying.

All of the landings were successful, but if I was a passenger I would have torn a hole in the seat where my buttcheeks grabbed hold of it.
