forests are cut mostly by the Romanians and Romanian companies and everything happens because of corrupt politicians that the Romanians elected and continue to elect.

And the stupid authorities do nothing to stop this.

Same Austrian company with Austria on and on again behaving like landlords veto-ing anything within European Union to make sure money come in their pockets (and yes as you have heard it already they'r right hand of russians within EU)

Good idea for a viral video....my car broke down and I was surrounded by bears and demons/vampires..

Did you noticed none of the bears put a step on the road? They know the road is human teritory,even if you get out from the car,as long as you are on asplalt,they would not aproach you. For them the humans are a nice specie who shares with them some strange food,very tastefull wich is not found in the forest,no other specie shares the food,but the same humans became agressive if the bear invades their territory.

The man said: Sir i just had a terrifying experience,my car broke down on that forrest road. When i opened the hood,a bear came and as i wasn't enouth scared,the bear said,, man,it's the ignition coil,it's toasted,look,it's that black piece there''. I was so scared ,i runned away till i got here,can you help me? At what the dog replied: Don't listen that dumb,bear,sir. Every time a car breaks down he sais the same.

The forest is still quite pristine, although logging increasing....good environment still , and little hunting.

They are basically just regular brown bears/grizzly, with a very similar size and behavior to the interior brown bear/grizzly in North-America..

@@sandvenexplorer That means they are more likely to attack someone than the black bears (I think).

@@sandvenexplorer Decades ago before they made a law against it, some people here and there would feed black bears...I saw a recent video of a man walk up to a black bear, let the bear smell his hand, then started petting it on the head. It was in the wild and you can hear his motorcycle idling in the background. I guess he knew the bear from when it was a cub or at least adolescence. It must be fun to play with one the way a person plays with his pet dog.

Many feeding them yes....bad idea, the only bear needing some food would be "threelegs"...not illegal. Both foreign tourists and Romanians do it I think..guess better to feed them than BEING the food, haha

@@sandvenexplorer I’m sure feeding them is encouraging them to wait by the roadside. But me day they might not be so patient. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Poor old Three Legs, I wonder if she got caught in a trap and had to leave her leg behind?

If they gave a big fine for feeding it would stop....say around 500 Euro...yes maybe that is what happened to Threelegs....but I doubt traps are a problem here....maybe a car ran her over, maybe a bear ripped her leg off when she was a cub and she survived cause of food from tourists...bears can take A LOT of pain and still go on I have read.

@@sandvenexplorer I’ve heard that too, bears, like cats, have superb endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers. It’s interesting to ponder what happened to Three Legs, as you say, the abundance of food will have helped her to live.

@@sandvenexplorer, there`s actually a fine for feeding the bears, that goes between 600 euros and 1000 euros. However, it is hardly enforced because almost everybody feeds the bears. There`s also a draft for a new law which is supposed to triple the fines, but people will continue to do it, as it is very difficult to resist those cute puppy eyes they make when you pass by them. We love our bears in Romania, we call them "old man Martin", or "the old ones" or "the elders". Back in the days we had a special feasts for them, 3 times a year, once in summertime, once in the autumn and once in February. The most important day dedicated to the bears would be the 2nd of February, when they were supposed to predict how long the winter would last by coming out from torpor and seeing its own shadow or not (a sort of Groundhog Day). The bears are seen as wise, and they could give you either advice or some sort of healing from ailments, if they felt benevolent.
