Agecroft Hall and the Virginia House are located in the Windsor Farms neighborhood which was modeled on an English style neighborhood.

I hope some day you can visit Louisville Ky. Old Louisville is a very large Victorian historic district that is well preserved. 1885- 1910 era.

If Thomas Jefferson ever wrote anything regarding architecture and sent it by mail it should be on the Monticello website. He had a letter duplicating machine and kept a copy of all outbound correspondence.

So glad you got to see these excellent structures in Virginia! I love the federal fan lights and side lights in the homes of that era, but I had NO IDEA that they slid in/out like pocket doors! WHAT?!?! SO fricken cool! Makes me want to get some for my house! This is a great video format, and I hope you do more! Just make them a little longer, please! And come back to Virginia - we have so much cool stuff!

It you were planning and designing a new subdivision for 1,800 to 2,400 square foot homes, what style homes would you design/require (say in Fort Worth). Can you build new homes that are replicas?

In Fort Worth, I would probably build a bungalow or colonial revival neighborhood. Yes, that would be fun to build inspired replicas. Thx.

@@BrentHullbrother its been the capitol of Virginia since before the American revolution, and has been the capitol longer than Williamsburg or Jamestown were, there is nothing new about its status

I’ve never been to Agecroft Hall but have been to Montpelier several times. I found the back portico as interesting as the front facade. It was fascinating to watch how they de-assembled a 55 room Dupont house back to the 22 room Madison home. The John Marshall house in Richmond is very nice as well.

That is not Edgar Allen Poes house, it is the site of the Poe museum, a fact which is made abundantly clear in signage inside and outside the house. From the Poe museum website: "The Old Stone House is the oldest residential building that is still standing in Richmond, Virginia. It currently houses an exhibit about Poe’s childhood in Richmond....There is no evidence that Poe ever entered the home. In the last half of the nineteenth century, the house, then used as a curio shop, was called “Lafayette’s Headquarters” or “Washington’s Headquarters” even though neither had actually used it as their headquarters at any time." Elsewhere in the video you misrepresent facts about Richmond history and histoic sites, many of which are on publicly displayed historical markers, many more of which have appear in Wikipedia articles on the historical sites, and all of which would be noticed by doing cursory research on the history of the city and the state. As a Richmond native my entire life, I'm glad you enjoyed your visit though! Come back soon, certainly you just weren't here long enough to learn
