I'm Canadian, been there 7 times (I'm here right now). Do NOT believe all the lies about the violence, it in only one small area, but the country in general is stunningly beautiful, people are super friendly, and the beaches...ahhhh the beachs....paradise on earth!
@@quickcreatorhub if you learn spanish and live in a high demand area then yes. like san salvador or santa tecla. it is not that hard to move there. my family is from there and i go there all the time. there are some cultural differences but people there are very rich spiritually and culturally. they value foreigners from richer countries a lot. it's not nearly as violent as the media would like you to believe.
I'm subscribed to your channel from years ago and I watch videos from your channel every week and until today I see this video. Not hard to guess that I'm salvadoran. I never thought one of my favorite RU-vid channels will make a video from my country. Thank you guys!
My parents are both from El Salvador but my whole family is from Spain living in El Salvador and yes I'm brown, but it's nice being a Salvadoraño Española
doesn't the video mention that without a driver you can't go anywhere because you risk (at least) to be robbed? the country is beautiful, but you have to be careful. This video sounds like if you're going to disneyland
I am dying to visit and explore its culture and background despite its bloody history. The only intimidating factor is the violence i am always reading about...any feedback for a solo traveler?
Hey, Anthony: you might be dying to visit El Salvador, but that's the thing, knowing the bloody history of the country, it's best to stay where you are and avoid dying in El Salvador. Cheers, bro!!
You will be fine as long as you use your head. Every country has dangerous areas. Don't go to areas with gangs. Locals can advise you and even look it up before you come. The gangs are very isolated and most of San Salvador is very nice to visit. The anti-pandillas do a very good job at protecting people. You will be safe. I would recommend knowing the language, but I think if your name is Perez you already do. It's not as dangerous as the media wants you to think. I go there a lot and I've never run into trouble.
Wow I can't believe they did this over El Salvador... when I tell my friends my background they say "is that a city in Mexico" I always have to explain the difference :/.... thanks WatchMojo for doing this bit.
Yeah, It's the MS13 Museum, right in Soyapango, bring your running shoes, cause you're gonna need them, just in case there's a drive by shooting nearby, Enjoy your visit
+Pete Campbell you never meet a gang member i guess and if you meet them you as america gona be eat alive and violated cause you only talk shit the soyacriminales never gona attack a local girl stupid
I was born there and have not been back since 92. everyone i talk to just tells me the bad stuff about it (gangs) but i would love to take my wife and daughter so they can see where i am from and share that beauty. i dont know much about it either since i came to live here when i was 7. can anyone share if its safe or not?
El Salvadaor had the highest murder rate of any country It's usually #1 or #2 on the list of countries having the most homicides, the other being Honduras or Colombia Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate
