HappilyEverHanks I think you guys became my favorite people right now😆 I’m actually a Certified Surgical Technologist/First Assist. I’ve been on this field for 25 yrs. I’m currently in Austin,TX, I’m from NYC. I truly need a change in my life....just lost my mother and dad’s currently in a nursing home. I’m a mother of twin girls (21 y/o) they’re on their own now. So, me and my current husband decided to break the ice and start a new crazy chapter in our life. I would like to know which 5th wheel brand is best to buy, also, if you can share the RV Apps that you’ve mentioned before. I’m super thrilled about our decision😁 It won’t happened right away but we’re thinking January 2021 we should be on the road God’s willing 🙏🏽 I can’t stop from watching your incredible videos😍 You guys are AMAZING!!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
ABSOLUTELY!! Thank you so much for your kind words ❤️We really hope you guys can make this happen in your life! So fantastic that you have a great career to allow you to do so. We are sorry to hear about your family, stay strong! We will try to keep your smiling in our channel 😊Thank you so much for subscribing and supporting us! Our channels mission is to help other find their meaning of life through RV Living on the road! We want to help drive others towards their dreams and enjoying life to the fullest on the road 😃We will absolutely bring some more content in regards to what you are looking for!! Be sure to give us a shout out any time in the comments with questions you may have along the way! We have been doing this for 4 years now and we want to help you succeed in anyways that we can ❤️- Renee and Kyle
Have you looked into having your 5th wheel professionally moved to each site to save on the expense of having the truck? As travel nurses you don’t bounce around each week so this might be a more do-able option since you’ll probably be averaging 13 week assignments.
Fellow RV travel nurse here - working ER - actually didn't realize you guys were travel nurses until you were talking about FirstNet in the internet video
I’m sooooo glad I came across your channel!!!! My husband is a travel nurse and I’m a flight attendant. We’ve been wanting to purchase an RV and do similar to what you all are doing. We’re way older than the both of you, but we’re not retiring for another 7-10 years. I have no experience with an RV, but we plan on purchasing a Class C early 2021. Thank you so much for the encouragement!! I’ll be following your journey and also binge watching your previous videos. 🤗🤗🤗
Oh that is so exciting!! A class C would be such an incredible and flexible way to enjoy life on the road! 😊 that’s awesome, you guys will rock it when it comes to RV living (it’s easy to catch onto) thank you so much for your support and kind words, they mean everything to us ❤️ - Renee and Kyle
I am a union electrician that travels an I may no be a nurse but I go through a lot of the same experiences of RV parks and stuff like that I love your guises videos it’s very heartwarming and fun to watch!!!!!! Rock on the RV life!!!!!
Hey Johnnie!! It's so great to meet you 😃👋🏼 YES!! You are rocking the RV life as well, that is amazing! You have a great career, you must be really happy to know that you accomplished that! Where are you currently working now? What kind of RV are you rocking for the RV life??
Yea I stayed in a 950 square foot apartment with pool and hot tub and gym for 1150 a month in LA with my pitbull and my 100 lb American bulldog for a travel contract affordable housing is doable most people think it’s not 🙌🏽and I never know where I’m gonna stay til I’m in the town , start out at motel 6’s for 50$ a night until I find a place
@@HappilyEverHanks Peeben!! Mosley my other pup that we traveled with passed in July 😢 I do mostly stepdown but currently on a tele med surg floor for a contract. What about you??
Your site is one of very few that I hit the "like" button before even watching. I know I'm going to love it and it's always entertaining with positive advice and info. Thank you! Though I am not a travel nurse, so much of what you covered is good to think about for traveling in general. My wife and I are about to embark on retired life part time rv'ing and there is so much to learn to be able to be safe and enjoy. Our rv experiences have been from modest tenting, to truck slide-ons, class a's and now a used GD travel trailer over the past 30 yrs. Valuable info such as what apps work well vs. are just available, money saving tips such as what works for boondockers on the way to a destination and maybe some honest thoughts on camping spots.
WOW!! Thank you so much Robert!! We are so happy for you and your wife! Sounds like you both have a lot of experience in the RV realm 😃 Stay safe out there, talk to you again soon!!
Good suggestion to take your new, (new to you possibly), out, close to home, before venturing out further. (Shake down test). Get those initial broken / non working items repaired. We had purchased a Fleetwood, (this helps explain a bunch by itself), Terry Resort, 5th, 22-foot, (perfect size for towing and most all parks). Took it to a close by KOA, figured out all the connection fittings, making sure the water pressure regulator functioned as expected, had one shut off the water during a shower, (no other time did another regulator fail).
Hey Hanks…! You guys rock… my teachers at RU-vid college. I just hit the rod full time in February this year w a cargo trailer I’m converting and this is my 2nd round or 3rd 😬 watching your vids from the beginning and I can refresh knowledge… I am hauling w a Honda Ridgeline so I see my rig as a baby bro when it comes to yours..! 😂 Thank you for all the info..! 🙏🏻
I wanted to comment on this vid since I think is better to let the new “hauler” to gain the backup driving experience n their own. I learned it that way.. went to a “park and ride” lot and practice practice practice.. I still get nervous in certain scenarios under pressure, but what the heck.. they gotta wait.. so this attitude relaxes me and I get it done faster! Anyway I don’t think people take the offer for help.. do they?
Another epic video guys!!! You two are so dang inspiring! RV.. ☑️ Nurse..☑️ big truck..☑️ Secret explorer spirit..☑️ Lets go!! “Like” button has been decimated!!
Adam you are the bees knees my friend 😃We can't wait to be able to do some mini trips with you guys and the Holiday Rambler! It's awesome to have your support, we want to keep bringing it 💪🏼Thanks buddy!!
HappilyEverHanks We had a serious discussion just last night regarding a winter adventure with the ol camper this year. We just need some awesome friends to pick a warm place and show us the ropes! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Long time follower here!! Glad to listen to this one again. Considering a locum tenens job! I own and live full time in a travel trailer already after a couple of hurricanes.
I’m so glad I found your channel! My husband and I are seasoned Healthcare workers. He’s and ICU RN and I am a Respiratory Therapist. We just signed our first travel assignment and are so excited! We have been thinking about this (specifically RV living while traveling) for the past 5 years and now we are doing it! Maybe we will work together sometime. Looking forward to learning from all your mistakes 😂.
Hey Jennifer! It's so great to meet you guys 😃 Awesome that ya'll are jumping into the travel world!! Congrats to you both 🙂 Did you guys land an assignment at the same hospital? Also, what kind of RV will you guys be traveling in??
@@HappilyEverHanks we did get a contract together at the same hospital. And we are settling in great and loving the hospital we are at! We have a bumper pull Jayco White Hawk. It’s working out great for now but i can see us upgrading to a fifth wheel sooner rather than later 😂
Nice!! We are so happy you guys are enjoying your assignment 😊🙌🏼 We totally get where you are coming from, we felt the same way about our first travel trailer lol Glad Jayco is treating y’all well, it’s seems like a great brand Stay safe out there, we hope to continue to hear from you on other videos ❤️ Your support means so much!!
Oh gosh, this is my favorite video I have ever watch have you guys. Especially the part where you drove soooo far. An hour and a half. Never lose your sense of humor. Love you all three
@@HappilyEverHanks Sorry should have mentioned I'm not a nurse but am a technical analyst supporting the doctors and nurses. Today is my last day though.
I’m finishing nursing school in May and this is our plan. I get a year or 2 of nursing experience while we remodel the rig and then we’re off! I used to be a flight attendant and the idea of still traveling but with my best friend, my pup, and my home is such a dream! I can’t wait
That is so fantastic!! How exciting for you guys 😊 I'm sure you have seen a lot of places being a flight attendant! Did you get a little freedom to explore or was the flight attendant job pretty demanding work wise? Also do you know what field of nursing you are interested in yet? 😃 - Kyle and Renee
Duuuude! I am literally doing the same thing! I am starting nursing school next year and plan on working for a year after I get out and then do travel nursing in a class C!
That’s so awesome Ben!! We are so happy for you 😃 Class C seems like an amazing route to go! Keep us updated how you like the Class C (we have never owned one before)
This is the kind of information I’m looking for. My husband and I are giving ourselves 2 years to plan/buy/organize and hit the road! I’d be the travel MA/phlebotomist and he has a remote job. I’d really like to know those apps u use! Love the spot you’re in!!
Since this video, we've come out with so much content and recently just put one out that talks about mail and healthcare on the road for traveling medical professionals!
Good tips y’all. Agree that leaving at 2am isn’t advised 😂. Isn’t it funny how the things we encourage others are because of the lessons learned ourselves 😆😆! Can’t imagine what it’s like living in an RV full time and then can’t imagine being a nurse in 2020 😷. Good stuff y’all! Keep up the great content 🤙
I have been travel nursing since 2005. Not continuously. My 2 cats seem to like the Rv life better. It’s only been 9 months living in the travel trailer. It’s a learning curve. I own my travel trailer outright. So that helps a lot between assignments.
Hello! I just discovered your video and it helped me make a huge decision!! Former Firefighter/Paramedic and brand new RN. I can’t stay in one area for longer than 6 months and this lifestyle would perfect. My goal is to have my RV by the end of December or earlier, stuck in an apartment until then, already have the truck with no payment. Would love to get more advice from you getting started.
Hey Michael!! So great to meet you! Thank you so much for your wonderful support, it brings us joy to hear about your side of the story!! What kind of specialty are you going to be working in nursing? Must’ve seen a lot and your days as a firefighter and paramedic! We are both Medics as well, but haven’t worked the streets in a little bit A good approach we would recommend, would be to start watching some of our how to videos. We really dedicate a lot of time and effort into bringing the best content and most information in those videos. Our whole channel is dedicated to getting started in the RV life, so you will most likely find a lot of great content to help answer some of those questions 😃 Absolutely feel free to reach out to us anytime you have specific questions that we can help with 🙂👍🏼 i’ll leave a link to a great playlist to get started on below, hopefully it can be of help for you Keep these comments coming Michael, we really enjoy hearing from you!! - Kyle and Renee ru-vid.com/group/PLLEgXSjc0_votr5gxbiJ0qMDWnhelHCZ9
Wow! I really love the tips on this video. You could have actually titled the video "Work & Travel Family RV Living!! RV Remote Workers Best Kept Secrets." I work for a company in California that affords me the opportunity to live and work anywhere I want as long as I have internet. Thus the reason I live in Peru. When I return I will be buying my RV. Logan and I will RV full-time around the US. The fantastic thing is as long as you plan and are frugal you can make this a very cost effective lifestyle. The great thing about RVing in general is you can travel as cheap as you want or as expensive as you heart desires. If you haven't figured it out I am binge watching all of your videos.
So glad that you are enjoying them enough to binge watch..and EVEN better you are commenting!! Thank you so much 😎 🙌🏼 I like that title!! You could help us make some rocking titles!! Can't wait till you make it full time around the US! Yes, it's amazing how much RV living can be lived in so many different lifestyles! We appreciate you and Logan so much!! You guys are awesome 🐶
I'm so glad I randomly found your channel! In my younger days😅I did travel nursing as an NICU nurse, and also as a NNP! I just loved Southern California & ended up staying there (before & after grad school)! Two entrepreneuring sisters, one a nurse, set up a staffing service especially for NICUs & PICUs, and paid so much more per shift that committed to a contract. I grew up cross country camping every summer in an RV, as both parents were university professors. I don't I know what the size was: but a lot smaller than yours! It was amazing, but I was burnt out on it. I'll definitely be keeping up with your travels and hopefully nursing experiences too!
We are about a year away from starting our journey. I will be retiring from the military next year, my wife will be travel nursing and I will be homeschooling the kids during our travels. We have subscribed and can’t wait to hear more from you!
That is so fantastic! Congrats on your retirement, what a great way to travel and enjoy life to the fullest with your family! What other kind of content would you guys be interested in hearing about regarding full time RV living or travel nursing? We LOVE hearing suggestion and even more so we appreciate your support more than ever ❤️😊 - Renee and Kyle
HappilyEverHanks I think that a really nice topic would be the do’s and don’ts of etiquette whether you’re at an rv park, campground, staying overnight at a parking lot or boondocking. It appears that there are a ton of people that are unaware of the unwritten rules. Thanks and we’ll be watching!
kenneth heitger We greatly appreciate the feedback! Yes that would absolutely be a great topic to touch on! We will be sure to follow up and bring some detailed content to you 😊
Thank you so much Cheryl!! We are just living it up while we’re young like you said 😊🙌🏼 definitely having a blast doing so! Can’t wait to hear from you again 🙂👋🏼
Just found your channel. You guys, I am JUST starting entertaining this idea. We are both nurses, and I just want to take our lives to a next level!!!! Subscribed!

Excellent job on laying out all of the costs and keeping it real! I especially found the tip about booking RV parks prior to booking your work helpful. We run our own Food Safety Consulting and Auditing business and have been staying in hotels. Currently we would book with the client, then research & reserve our hotel....sounds like we need to adjust our process. So many awesome tips from all your videos ❤ 👍👍
Wow thank you so much!! 😊🙌🏼 That’s amazing you guys have your own business of food safety consulting 😀 what got you guys into that in the first place?? Do you guys enjoy what you do?
Yes, we feel like we won the job lottery!! 😆🥰 We get to travel the whole country meeting awesome farmers and food manufacturers... basically a life of "How Its Made" 😃, with one of the best parts being we get to travel all over the place at little to no cost out of our own pockets. I was a Food Inspector in the US Army for 8 years, and got into civilian Food Safety auditing and consulting after exiting the military.
That’s is so awesome!! We have never met anyone who has done this as a living, love that you guys ACTUALLY enjoy your jobs as well 😁🙌🏼 Keep living it up, we are happy for you guys! Thanks for chatting, we will catch up with y’all again soon ❤️
My wife is a travel ct tech and her food/housing stipends would def cover the cost of a campground. She travels from home currently (over the required miles per contract) but we’re thinking of taking a 13 week assignment in the next state in the summer and airBnB our house. I only have to be at my office 2 days week. We have a bunkhouse travel trailer that we love. Thanks for sharing your experience!
@@HappilyEverHanks my wife is looking at becoming a traveling medical lab technician once I can retire in a few years. Not quite the same as nursing, but we’re hoping there will be similar opportunities. Camper life is awesome 🙂
Oh that is wonderful!! Yes, the camper life is great 😃🙌🏼 Hopefully you can get a kick out of our other videos, we try to keep it entertaining and relatable 🤣 Cheers to you both, keep us updated with how things progress for you guys!
Good info. Did travel nursing for couple years without RV - was great. Now after 10 years hitting road again. Have travel trailer now but not sure I want to live in my RV. I enjoyed the apartments they provided. Maybe just use it for camping and trips when not working . Good info . Great times when I travelled: San Francisco, Tucson, San Diego, Albuquerque, Leadville are few places🥰😍
That's great! All cool places! We were 50/50 between apartment or RVing when we started travel nursing. And that's how we got into RVing! Thanks for sharing 😃~Renee & Kyle
Loved the format of the video, and loved the points you guys made! It's always so easy to convince yourself that something is going to save you money, and you whitewash the real expenses away. So I loved the way you guys thought critically about some of the expenses. Great video as always, can't wait to see more!!!
Oh thank you so much for the great feedback!! We are so happy that the new format worked and you found it enjoyable ❤️ we appreciate your support so much, thank you! 😊
I just knew it! A fellow travel nurse! Thanks so much! I am so grateful for your channel! I am now a new subscriber and am considering buying a travel trailer. I have been traveling for 4 years now and am so tired of packing and moving! Thanks!
Hey Deborah!! YES!! You are a travel nurse as well? What specialty are you working in?? 😃 We are so happy for you and your upcoming purchase of a travel trailer. We can’t wait to hear all about it 🙂 thank you for your wonderful support in taking the time to reach out to us!!
@@HappilyEverHanks for Bill its CT because we went to NY to see his Mets. Natasha was disappointed that Yale wasn't a super great hospital. I think we all enjoyed Orlando. Whats on the top of your list?
That's awesome! We always wanted to go to Orlando, but we haven't applied for licensure in Florida yet. How many states have you traveled to thus far and how many licenses do you keep up with? Our favorite assignments have been Oroville, CA (Met so many awesome individuals) and Bend, Oregon (Gorgeous area with so much to do). As of now we only keep up with California, Oregon and Pennsylvania licensure. 😊
@@HappilyEverHanks I think 25 now. She just keeps her compact license active in TX. If you go to a state that doesn't honor that i just get it there and travel company reimburses and then I let it expire.
WOW!! That is incredible! That is a great way to do it, Renee and I basically try to do the same thing. It’s nice that travel companies reimburse for such licensure in our fields 😃
Hey guys, my sis just turned me onto your channel and I love it! We are nurses and are about to take that plunge, can't wait! Thanks so much for bringing up quite a few points I didn't really consider. I leaning towards selling my house and using the proceeds to pay for the truck and the RV then just save money just in case I want a new house down the road!
This is wonderful to hear Jim!! This is very exciting for you guys, congrats on your upcoming adventures 😃🙌🏼 We hope to continue to hear from you on other videos as well’
@@HappilyEverHanks, I’m just so impressed by your adventurous spirits! And how well you work together when you’ve only been married 3 years! You have a lot to offer the younger crowd … you’ve broken the mold on retired rv’ers! ❤️
Really enjoying your advice to travel nurses! Would their ever be a emergency first aid video? Thanks for all you do! 🖖🏻👍🏻🙏🏻😘 (ps- binge watching from your playlist, it’s priceless stuff)
Aww thank you so much! We don’t hear this very often, so it means the world when you say it! So happy you are binge watching, even happier you enjoy it 😉 haha!
I really like the suggestion of a first aid video! I think you two would be great at making it with some humorous videoed scenarios and then how to proceed with actual care :)
Lol this is great!! Thank you for this amazing feedback 😊🙌🏼🙌🏼 We would love to bring some of our background experience forth and talk about topics like this!
My wife & I are travel nurses. We are in Guam. Our rent for our apartment is $3300/month. We bought a truck already and have spotted our RV. It’s cool to get your perspective!! We would like to get the apps! Thank you!!
Hey Robert!! That is so awesome to hear 😀🙌🏼 what an amazing experience that must be to work in Guam!! It’s so wonderful to meet you. We hope that we can continue to hear from you!! 😀
Question??? New sub here. I went to the list that you suggested to watch y’all from the beginning, but it wasn’t actually what I thought it was. Did y’all make videos from the beginning of your rv life or did you start making them 2 years ago? RU-vid use to let you sort the videos in chronological order which made it easy to follow a journey of the peeps you found to follow that are already established. Alas, that is not the case anymore. I really enjoy y’all’s banter and content and wish I could get a better feel for getting to know your story. I have watched probably 30 episodes so far. Looking forward to you caravan coming up.
I saw your drone flying over your campground in another vid. Do you also have a car sometime? When you do take traveling positions, do you both do it at the same time or alternate? Loving all of the content.
That's so great to hear! We have plenty more content coming related to RV Travel Nursing! Feel free to subscribe for more content coming soon 😃What specific things would you like to see as far as content related to RV Travel Nursing? We would love to answer any questions you might have! - Kyle and Renee
Hey guys! I really enjoy the channel! I first found the channel while watching a few rv videos. We have a travel trailer and enjoy camping. I am also a RN who started out working EMS then became an ER nurse and was a flight nurse for several yrs. I just applied with a travel agency and looking forward to doing some assignments while staying in our TT. Congrats on the channel success! I look forward to seeing more videos from y’all. Take care!
That is so great! Kyle had his CFRN for a while since we was planning on flying in the future! He said that was a hard test! You are going to love travel nursing. And being able to adventure on your days off makes it so fun! Thanks for watching and supporting our channel 😃
This is honestly my dream life. Starting nursing school this spring. Now I just need to find a woman that thinks like us. Thanks for the info guys! Is it hard to get a contract for two, or usually not an issue?
Hey Cole! There aren't as many contracts available with two positions vs one but we never had an issue going to cool places! Travel nursing is becoming more and more popular as we go so not sure what it is like now! Thanks for watching!
Hey Kyle and Renee, that Funny fella Mike here again...🤔😜😜😜 So, I watched your traveling nurse’s video, which was great and informative... Squirrel 🐿 Have you heard of a traveling maintenance/plant operations program??? I work at a regional hospital in the plant operations/maintenance department. I am currently wearing an electrician’s hat, for the past 7+ years, but my skill set spans several trades as I have been in maintenance for 30+ years: aircraft, motorcycles, small engines, to heavy equipment, etc. Just curious if you’re aware of any such position or program? Thanks again, from that fella Mike 😎
Hey Mike! Never heard of a travel position like that but I’m sure it probably exists! Especially if it’s a hospital. Also can probably do on call remote work! Thanks for the feedback! How long have you been doing this line of work?
@@HappilyEverHanksI’ve only been in the maintenance/industrial fields for a little while, since 1989 😉 Oh, now you’ve done it...now you’ve got me wondering if I may be older than I think that I am. 😜 It was just this past week that a fella a mere six months older than I am referred to us as, “The older people”... I asked for a little clarification and he said that we ARE getting closer to the retirement side of this rather than the starting side of a career. I guess that’s why I’m getting, “highlights”, in my beard 🧐
WOW! That is a good long time 😃 You must have a ton of experience!! That is so amazing that ya'll are getting closer to retirement! We are rooting for you guys Mike, we want to meet ya'll on the road soon!! Age is just a number, you both sound like awesome people 🙂
Love you guys I'm a fellow travel nurse and recently got an rv after my first assignment. I'm curious how you handle duplicating your expenses, do yall rent a room in your home state or do you just have your stipends taxed. Keep up the amazing job I love watching you two and hope to see you on the road.
@@HappilyEverHanks Hi! My name is Jason. I want to eventually move into a truck camper. That’s been my goal for a while now. I’ve been in EMS forever and I’m a nursing major. I’m pulling my life back together from a serious injury and due to other unforeseen circumstances I’m single again so I can now dedicate my all to recovery and finishing my degrees. For my I wanted to get my nurse practitioners license. My masters has always been my end goal so that’s my 5-7 year plan. I’m not a spring chicken anymore 😒 but I’ll at least still be in my 40s lol. I’m glad I stumbled upon your channel. You both be safe out there ❤️
So wonderful to meet you Jason 😊 You have some awesome goals!! Love hearing this! Best wishes on your upcoming career paths and adventures to come Love that you are going for NP, seems like a really great career path to choose. We are so happy to hear that you are here with us now on the channel. We greatly appreciate every comment, they help us out a lot! Best to you Jason, we look forward to hearing from you again 😃👋🏼 Stay safe - Kyle and Renee

Thank you so much for these videos. We plan on purchasing a mobile home of some sort (travel trailer vs 5th wheel pending much research and discussion) and will begin traveling soonish! I'm a travel physical therapist and my husband is a plumber/carpenter/overall handy man. We're currently quarantined due to break-through cases of Covid and I've been EATING UP your videos for advice and knowledge, so THANK YOU again. I'm not too nervous about finding gigs for my husband (side-jobs, temporary work), but wondered if you (or any comment-ers) had insight/thoughts on this. He'll have all his tools with us and after watching some of your videos, I'm wondering if someone like him would be useful for RV parks...whether helping residential RVers fixing/upgrading parts of their rigs or even working with the RV park for overall maintenance (rent discount, amirite?). Anyways, thank you again for giving us something to look forward to in the future while we are stuck at home!
Hey Lindsay! This is wonderful to hear and we are so happy for you both 🤗 Honestly, you could probably call around to some of the RV parks and see if they are looking for maintenance repair work. There are many parks that utilize a program called "Workamping" which is where you guys would be the host fo that park and in return you have a free stay and are even paid hourly! Lots of options out there, doing the research is probably the hardest part 🙂 Keep these wonderful comments coming on other videos as well, we really enjoy hearing from you guys and reading your feedback! Best to you both, stay safe
Hey guys! I am going to be embarking on this lifestyle in the next 5 years and truly appreciate your channel. I want to start small and as you suggested, try it out before going bigger. I am a staff nurse working 3-12’s in Philly. I’m working on a nurse practitioner degree and plan to do bigger traveling when I’m done. Have you guys traveled through urban areas? How’d you pull it off? And THANK YOU!!!
I'm a 60 y/o widowed nurse with 35 years experience. I want to travel and am ready for new experiences. I'm so glad you mentioned the age problem. One of my son's has a Class A motorhome I was going to be using but may need to reconsider that plan. I will be keeping up with your content. Thanks so much for the info! Happy nursing and rving.
Hi Shalmara! We are so sorry for you loss. Travel nursing definitely has provided those new experiences to us that we were craving. What an amazing amount of years you have put into the nursing field. What has been your specialty or specialties over the years of nursing?? Yeah unfortunately we have heard the age of your RV can affect your stay. Multiple RV parks have asked us what the age of our RV is before booking our stay. Renee and I are excited to get to know you more and follow along with your journey into travel nursing 😃 keep us updated and feel free to reach out to us anytime - Kyle and Renee
@@HappilyEverHanks Like many older nurses I have done a little of everything. I have been in psychiatric nursing for the last 8 years. I call it my retirement job ;). It takes less of a physical toll. Prior to that I spent 7 years post open ortho. I have worked for several years as a float nurse in a designated hospital so never really knew where I would be but I loved the challenge. Prior ICU, Home Health. I always worked wherever I could that the schedule worked for my children. Tx for getting back to me. So not all parks will require certain ages? That's good to know. I like having my own place that travels with me. I am very much a minimalist so downsizing is great. I am presently living in the motorhome so I can make it my own and know it will meet my needs. Eventually plan to downsize from this water to big Class A to either Class C or B+. Even thought about small travel trailor but would have to change what I drive and I love my Corolla lol. I will continue watching you guys and learning. Apparently 60 is the new 40!
@@shalmaratrethewey1006 YES!! Love this!! It doesn’t matter how old anyone is, it’s all about finding that passion of getting out there and being consumed in life! Living it to the fullest and having no regrets. We are just so excited to hear this Shalmara, you have a ton of experience and will be a great asset in whatever decision you makes Renee and I have been strictly ER nurses, we have considered branching out into other specialties however to have more flexibility during our travels. We are also minimalist and realize that “going against the grain” of what society thinks a couple of young 30 year olds should be doing... is the key to happiness for us. We love being on the road and meeting new people. This way of life truly changed our lives Keep us updated on your journey, we are so excited for you :) - Kyle and Renee
Great video. My wife is considering a travel radiology position and I am looking at transitioning into a remote job so we can travel. I love the great information you have on your videos.
HappilyEverHanks I work in a children’s hospital on their float pool med surg units and sometimes their step down icu patients. Do you think there would be positions for me? I know a lot of companies look for icu or ER. I have been a nurse for about 18 years now. And have done travel nursing before but that was in 2008 for maybe 2 years.
Absolutely!! There are so many opportunities right now for travel nurses and with your experience, you would have no problem!! That’s awesome you have been doing nursing for so long! Renee and I are strictly ER so we are sometime restricted. You having multiple specialties or dabbling in multiple specialties really works towards your benefit 😊 what states are you hoping to travel to first? We have some good suggestions on places!
HappilyEverHanks I’m completely open. I will be getting my multiple state license so I guess it depends on that but that would be a great video idea. Top 5 or 10 location to do travel nursing while RVing...
Write my NCLEX on Tuesday!! Have gone from $$ Super C's down to a truck camper:) Who knows what we will end up with. Funny only nurses would pull out after nights!! Thanks for all the info
That’s so exciting!! ❤️ best of luck to you, keep us updated on your NCLEX and the rig you guys decide on :) we love hearing this! What specialty of nursing are you looking to start working in? - Renee and Kyle
Renee & Kyle thanks so much for commenting! I am an ER nurse (which I think you both are?) Trying to sponge as much info as I can before the leap to the US
@@alang5245 Alright 🤙🏼Right up our alley :) Yeah we are both ER nurses! Totally, it can be a lot to take in before hitting the road. Feel free to reach out to us anytime if we can help! We have tons of tutorials on RV's (how-to videos and such). It's been a great journey and we can't wait for that to come to fruition for you as well! - Kyle and Renee
Hello, my favorite Hanks!!! 😍 I was so looking forward to seeing your new video! Love how informative this video is and you all really explain a lot! When we first got our little camper last spring, I knew NOTHING about travel trailers! I admire you guys and what you're doing. Most people think it's easy and cheap, but that's not true! I am curious tho, do you guys go on assignment together? I would be interested in seeing how you two make that work and the process of finding assignments together. I'm sure that can be a little stressful to find at times. You guys stay safe and thank you for being out there on the front lines! We appreciate you! 😉
You are so sweet! Thank you so much! Yes, we actually sign contracts that guarantee us that we have the same shifts! We work side by side in the Emergency Room and we love it! Most people say “I don’t know how you guys never get sick of each other.” It works for us though! We love every second of it. Love you support as well, you guys are amazing 😊👍🏼
HappilyEverHanks I know this is a late comment, but as for you two spending virtually 24/7 together describes my son and his wife. They have been together since 9th grade. They got married in 2005 and are now both 42. No kids but they have been working side by side since college graduation. They are entrepreneurs and have owned several successful businesses. They have always shared common interests and hobbies as well. They traveled extensively over the years and last year bought a Mercedes high top van and customized it for off-grid camping after years of roof-top camping. They’re not full time because they have a beautiful 5-acre coffee plantation in Hawaii. They do everything together from remodeling their home to fertilizing the coffee plants. I know this was a long story and I apologize, but it just shows that some couples thrive on spending every moment together. Never change, keep that love alive!
Michelle! You don’t ever have to apologize, we love hearing about this! You must have done a great job at raising him, he sounds very successful. So happy for them, that sounds amazing! It definitely reminds me of Renee and I 🙂 Love hearing successful stories like this, you guys sounds like fantastic people ❤️ hope we can meet up someday!
I LOVE ME SOME HAPPILY EVER HANKS, I really do! B U T, we decided on a Skoolies for our home on wheels and here is why: 1-School buses are the safest vehicles on the road as they are made for our children. They are completely encased in steel. 2- School buses are HURRICANE shelters! 3-you make all the decisions on what is important to you in your home, such as: Distinct, separate living spaces such as kitchen and living room. I needed a sound proof art studio, for loud music. A red couch A farmhouse sink A pull out pantry A retro refrigerator A dishwasher Washer/dryer 1340 watts of solar An industrial generator A regular stove and oven A garbage disposal 120 gallon fresh water tank 50 gallons each both gray and black tanks Foam insulation through out A high end paint job for the exterior of the bus (turquoise with red door) A outdoor entertainment center that comes up from the underbelly of the bus with tv and stereo Kitchen window that opens up from the top for outside access A pull down table for the bar-b-que pit and one underneath the kitchen window Window treatments And.... We bought a 'sports' bus for the underbelly storage, the cruise control as sport buses are made to go on the highway along with Air suspension Automatic leveling system Also, just like with any RV, campgrounds only care about the look and running condition of your rig. We had our Skoolie made, and for us making the decisions on exactly what we wanted was important for us...ok important for me! Hubby is only interested in me liking it!
Love this!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to write this out for us and sharing with everyone else reading 😁👍🏼 you guys sound like you’re such an amazing set-up!!! Best to you both, stay safe ❤️❤️
Wow, never even thought about not being able to find an RV park close to an assignment. Great tips, guys! Love that you give us all the tips and tricks. 😉 Great informative video!!
Thank you for your great support in watching! We appreciate your time 🙂 We actually broke down some of those apps that you were looking into in another video. I will leave it linked right here for you ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C_xkSR0gzXM.html
Fantastic content, way to make your profession work for you and live a comfortable lifestyle while achieving your goals!! Love Fifth-wheel travel nursing!! Great stability while driving and your home is with you and everything you bring is packed and ready to use!!! Awesome tips for things to consider! Hit the nails right on the head with the reality of things that happen!
Thank you so much!! Fifth wheel travel nursing is awesome! Is there anything that you wish we would have included in the video that we can bring to light in future content? We love hearing suggestions and feedback! 😊
HappilyEverHanks can we see some content on best ways to protect your rig? What safety features do you have or have you added to keep your rig lasting longer, performing better? Aka fire extinguishers, surge protectors, water pressure management, etc. Do you grease or use a lube plate for your king pin? Give us the goods!!😁
@@MrNicmousseau Absolutely! Love these suggestions! Thank you so much for commenting and giving us this amazing feedback and material. We will be sure to work on some solid content in the near future regarding these topics 😃👍🏼

Do rv parks concider older TT if they are in great shape and updated? I see you-tube videos with older units that have been updated in them . In rv parks
Hey Esther! It is highly dependent upon the RV park! I would imagine that would be taken into consideration. Honestly, we don’t hear of it much.. but we have heard of it Hope you have a great upcoming week 😊👋🏼 Stay safe and talk to you again soon!
