Hey everyone! Thanks for watching. Check out what I did with this photo under less than perfect conditions. I only had this one day to get the shot as we traveled in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Nicely done. The two interesting elements are the elk and the mountain and when we are in the moment and trying to get an interesting shot we tend to try and include as many interesting elements as possible. If the light was splashing on both the elk and the mountain that could have worked too but I think you made the right choice by taking the less-is-more route.

Thanks for that. I did have the thought to take it further. Light rays shinning through, fog, etc........but in the end it was too much and as you said, less is more.

Very nice ..... I think you made the right decisions for the final image. Taking the sky out redirected my eye to the elk. I noticed you removed some stalks from the foreground ..... my eye goes to some stalks in the lower left-hand corner, so I may have looked at removing those, also. Thanks for the video, very informative!
