My favorite place is the "Island Born of Fire", Camiguin. It's a small volcanic island in the Pacific (Sea of Bohol), but of so many natural wonders. Due to the volcanos, there are natural hot springs, cold water springs, 100ft waterfalls, and picturesque snow white sandy beaches-truly a tropical paradise where the locals don't have windows or locked doors. I've been a couple of times & can't wait to return. You would love it too.
I visited Los Roques when I was 14 ! :D It was AMAZING! I a got a really bad sunburn on my nose, the woman who ran the place we stayed at made us delicious pasta for lunch to bring on our trips to smaller islands, and I especially remember all the lizards. I want to go back there one day!
You inspire me to start my travels. Hopefully soon. Unlike my friends, who care mostly about careers and relationships, I just want to see 'every corner of this Earth'.
I went to Australia last summer, and the difference between Melbourne and Sydney are amazing, they are very different. I love Sydney because it's a large city, but it's SO quiet!
i'll leave for france and italy in a week and your videos were really helpful! salamat, thank you, grazie and merci beaucoup, sonia! you're awesome! :D
Good point about just trying to make yourself understood. Parisians have, in my opinion, a completely FALSE reputation for being rude. I'm an anglo-Canadian so my Canadian French is pretty awful but Parisians were very patient and made sure they responded reeeally sloooowwlly so I could follow. (Or they just spoke English when they could.) I love NYC as well but my go-to destination is London. (Of course, we're going to Tokyo in Oct so who knows?)
Excuse me but im half chinese and spoken it my entire life, and i would say there is a lot of different ways to say flirty things in chinese, and you picked the most basic. youre pronounciation is so good by de way. Nice french though(i speak that too)
Me and my boyfriend wanted to save up and go to Key West, Florida, looks soooo beautiful!! BUT.. We need new couches and stuff like that so vacation is on hold :(
Hola Sonia , I've been studying Languages thanks to your awesome FLuenz soft. ( chinese & french) Una pregunta: Have you ever been to Chile? That's where I live . Sadly I've never been to another country... What's the best place to go if I want to improve my English?
Thanks for your kind words. Check out our DayOne French Fluenz video. It's meant to help you on the very essentials for your first day. You can find exercises that go along with it through the link in the description.

I've seen your video featuring MysteryGuitarMan. So a assume You've beenn already in brasil but have you been to Portugal or consider it?. (Beijo) Love your French and Brazilian Portuguese acent.
Please check out my About video to learn more about me. I started Fluenz, a company that competes with Rosetta Stone. That's my day job and that's how I started these shows--I was traveling for work to begin with. :)
Bonjour-h. Sonia, you're making me nervous---please don't fall asleep in taxis ANYWHERE. It's interesting how serenity is relative---when you live NYC as I do, I feel calmer here than anywhere else on the planet. Go figure. My best recommendation is to put Japan at the top of your list and go ASAP. It is unique.
Born68 ask: Sonia, can you say "I love you Born" in your next vlog Soniatravels replies: It's about time. I've been waiting to say that lol please dont block me, love the show
Had anyone used the fluenz french edition? I have heard a lot of mixed reviews because of Sonia's accent. Since she is not a native speaker, they say she is distracting or off with pronunciation. Please don't get upset with me! Just want to know before I purchase the full set.
