How about the Kuromon Market? If you are a first-timer to Japan, and has got only several days available for the trip, I would also recommend you to go to Osaka, as well as Kyoto. I'm an American living in Yokohama and work inTokyo. I also used to live in Kobe and made many trips to Osaka. Is it better than Tokyo? Depends the reason for the trip. If it's for a Japanese foodie adventure, maybe Osaka is better. But overall, Tokyo offers much more if the traveler plans their trip well. But you can't go wrong either way for first time visitors. Other than that, nice video highlighting some of the fun areas of Osaka. Killer video quality. Did you try Tennoji, Umeda, izakayas of Tenma? There's many more areas of Osaka to explore and I advise anyone watching to try going off the beaten path and check out lesser known areas. I would check the current regulations when you go to know for sure. I think it has been lifted now, but it could change.

@@realescape I see, thank you so much. In Turkey, we forget everything about pandemic and turned to pretty normal. Thats why a little bit confused.

For me it just looks like another massive city that you could get in New York or London with Japanese food and shopping. Not really seeing the real Japan.

We beg to differ, but probably on us for not capturing more of the traditional parts. Next time we'll make sure to include more of the real Japan.

@@realescape I would say that most cities have their own charm - and unless you have language skills or a really good guide it's a little bit hard to venture out of cities and into rural areas... but what is the 'Real Japan'??

@@CapitalFoodAdventure We totally agree. That is a very good question you posed.

I prefer Tokyo

@@realescape Osaka feels more touristy. It’s also kinda more gritty and rough feeling. Tokyo feels more polished. I am not sure if Osaka is more real and I am just biased to Tokyo. Osaka is definitely cheaper though

What i liked about Tokyo most was the entertainment and shopping areas, i went alot of shopping in ginza and akihabara. As for osaka lived there five years but i just didn't like the city but that's just my opinion. Maybe the aquarium in osaka and the expo city i only liked

Five years without much knowledge of history won't tell you anything. I'm a historian who has lived in both for 20 years, but Kinki (Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara, Siga, Mie) is clearly more genuine.

@@user-rn9hz6ss3g I dont need knowledge of history, i have street knowledge and Osaka in my heart has always been a city were people were unkind and that's all that matters to me. Also knowledge about history won't give me a advantage in work in Osaka, Tokyo is just better to me and also more work opportunities.
