Sherlock II I’ve been to a few places in France but never to Paris. I’ll go someday but it’s not on my list at the moment :) I really liked Nancy though!

Francesca paris is very cool but as French I hate when someone said « French are so rude , iv been in Paris » but Paris .. is Paris 😂they are not rude but their life are speed and stressful So I’m happy that you visite France and not just Paris ^^ ( I like Paris anyway lmao ) If you can visite more , I advice you to visit besaçon next to Nancy , Lyon it’s cool , cassis next to marseille ! Where do you from ? ^^

is nancy historically german speaking being so close to alsace?

We speak french in Nancy. Historically, Nancy was still french after the franco prussian war, not german. ^^

Can you recommend me anything ? Would love to explore more of france, came back from colmar and thought about going to Nancy, what do you think? Any special places in the region that is a must see?

Of course exploring Lorraine is a great idea. In terms of History : Verdun (1h30 from Nancy), monuments from the dukes of Lorraine near (or in) Nancy (Château de Lunéville; Place Stanislas,..) and forts from the Maginot Line. ^^ In the south, if you like natural landscapes you can visit Vosges (especially around Gérardmer!) In terms of food, you should taste : mirabelle, quiche Lorraine, pâté Lorrain,... :) If you want more things to do, you should read this : www.tourism-lorraine.com/see-do/visits/

Nancy is a really beautiful city, I loved it! Unfortunately I couldn't see everything I wanted to, because I stayed there just for one day. I saw both of the things you mentioned only from the outside but I'm sure you won't be disappointed :)

Missing out on things is what a lot of people fear. As long you had a nice time it doesn't matter. Been three times in Paris and I haven't been up the Eiffel Tower once! I just pick one thing to see a day and the rest is bonus. That is my credo :)
