The park on the main square is a seasonal event. There is one each season with a different theme, changed every year. This one had a flame shape and was themed around wildfires! Most of the time, the square is empty :)
I'm from Nancy, i'm verry glad to see somoene who from away come here, maybe if you come back in Nancy, you need to try the cofee " French Cofee " who's the Better cofee on the city and try to visit the " Parc sainte marie " and see " Thermal " i'ts two beautifull place, send me a message if you come back if you want i can show you around different place at Nancy✌️
@@nyah6989 It depends what do you mean by "expensive". Surely it's a way cheaper than big french cities like Paris, Lyon, Toulouse, and you can find locations at an affordable price 10min away from the inner city, but it's an urban area with a lot of students, so the demand on apartments is high. So it could be a little bit more expensive than other french cities of the same size. Concerning the daily life costs, prices are like everywhere in France and not low, not high. Hope this answer your question !
First time I hear someone referring to my town as "Little Paris of France" 🥺
Nancy macarons become soft after a few days kept in the fridge. But I think they're meant to be eaten hard. They are very different from what is called macarons in the rest of France which are much sweeter and full of cream.
It's funny to see people discover your town. I have so much info to tell you, because i LOVE my town. I'm never leaving hehe. The stained glasses of the cathedral got destroyed during world war II and were never replaced (same as the exterior clock, you can see it's only wood with a clock printed on it lol). So yeah thanks the germans for that The basilic st epvre is way prettier, idk why our cathedral is this one 😩 Now let's go back to the one and only place Stanislas. Near the statue, there is one pavement with a star on it. Like this 🌟. And under it, there are the old plans of the place. Because not so long ago, cars where going around it. The guy in the middle is Stanislas. But before there was this monument, the place was called "Place Royale" and there was one of Louis XV, his hand branding a weapon to the east (so to his enemies, at this time it was the empire of Hasbourg) and his head tilted to the east, so leaning towards the France. She was destroyed during the revolution. The place was then called "Place du peuple". It's only approximatly 40 years laters that the statut of our good king Stanislas was put there and the place re re baptized "Place Stanislas ". His finger is pointing 👉🏻 to the medaillon of Louis XV that is on the Arc Héré, and in direction of Polska, which he is from. I'm gonna leave it at that, but just know i could keep going Glad you enjoyed ❤️
Nancy is a great city and you can find macarons in lots of " boulangeries "😉 ... your video is nice but I think you often make kind of negative coments ...
You've made videos about Netherlands, Germany, France, Luxembourgh but nothing about Belgium 😭 please visit and make a video! Ghent, Bruges, Antwerp, Leuven are all must sees!! 🇧🇪🇧🇪
In Kelly's Heroes, the platoon is so eager to go to Nancy that they capture a German intelligence officer to ask him about the hotels and other amenities in town. Watching this now, I can see absolutely see why. Nancy looks lovely. I also really enjoy the idea of generations of French craftsmen and labourers working to construct this cathedral that will last for centuries only for it to get a rating of "not really worth the wait". 😅
That's really funny to see my city in your eyes ^^ You are lucky the garder on the main square is there only two month in a year. And you find the good places to eat :) The basilica is maintain by an association so it's open only if some members are available :(
wow! I watch a lot of European and French tourist videos and you and your editing skills have a unique style. You are quite a riot! 😁Looking forward to seeing more. Subscribed. Great job!🥳👏👏👏🌹🌞 Thank you for this gift, a chance to revisit Nancy. Gratitude!🌹
Au duché de Lorraine is an excellent place tonfind Nancy's specialities. Their chocolates are delicious. It's a bit expensive but never disappointing 😉
This is my city! There are 4-5 mirror orbs around big monuments so you can take selfies with the monuments, they appeared in 2011, way before the age of the selfie. It's so cool that you saw everything. Yes lunch places close at 2 in the afternoon, you have only a two-hour window to eat from noon until 2.
