Just discovered your channel, Nancy. I have been journaling for decades but it never dawned on me to decorate my journals dspite being an avid papercrafter. Duh! It wasn't until I got back into paper planning and discovered traveler's notebooks that I started decorating my journals. I so enjoyed this video and appreciated all of the tips and ideas you shared. Can't wait to watch more on your channel.
I'm exactly the same way when it comes to the night hours and sleep, Nancy. I've been like that as far back as I can remember and that's a LONG time! Ha! Been a journal-er all my life, but not so in the journals of today. Old school rarely had pictures or art work, just words. I like the way of doing this today. a little difficult, but slowly getting the hang of it. Enjoyed your sharing with us, thank you.
Thanks for this so nice to see someone doing something different ...I was thinking about using stamps but could only find videos using washi and more washi so I thought maybe it wouldn't work and now I see it does :)
I found you purely by chance and I'm so glad I did. I love the way you use your planner, it looks gorgeous. I've subscribed and I'll have a good look at your back catalogue tfs 🌹
Hi Nancy. I love your journals. I too would like to add more color and ephemera to my journals. I have a question for you. Do u water color and gelatos first and write on top of that, or do you write first and then add color? Can one use fountain pens on top of watercolors? Would you suggest a particular pen that will work well with these mediums on paper. Hope to hear from you. Thank you in advance for any help. 😊
i just happened to come across your video. first, i absolutely love your voice. so easy and calming to listen to. second, your book is amazing! i have a couple journals like this but never shared on my channel due to privacy but i am thoroughly enjoying everyone's shares and might see if i can figure it out. Thank you so much for sharing. new subbie here and i cant wait to check out what else is on your channel!
Thanks, DeAnna!! You are so sweet so say my voice is calming! I'm not sure if my children think so! Lol! I hope you do share your journals. You can always hide certain parts of it with sticky notes or some people use a blurring app while editing. I haven't quite mastered that! Thanks for subbing!
Just found your channel. Loved your video. Ariana Huffington has a book on sleep that might help you. Also, don't waste your money on the Speedball nib holder. Buy a good one that will accommodate other size nibs. Jet Pens carries a good variety. Do you follow the blog/Instagram channel called The Postmans Knock? Give it a look if not. She's a great calligrapher who has lots of tutorials. Plus, she has great recommendations on nibs and holders. Best wishes to you. Odette
Your cursive hand lettering is wonderful. Might have to practice doing the same :o)I also use a Uniball Signo, but in 1 mm. Don't really like the thin writing pens, but do have one in 0.5 mm just in case lol. Also use the cheap watercolours, but find them very chalky, so I'm slowly switching to more expensive ones like Daniel Smith.
BlueNoodle79, thank you!! I So find the more you write or practice, the better or more uniform your cursive looks! I hear great things about Daniel Smith watercolors! I'm using Jane Davenport watercolors now. I've been very happy with them!
Leona, I'm SO sorry I didn't see your comment! You can find Gelatos by Faber Castell at Michaels! Use a coupon and they're less expensive! You can also find them online if you google it.
Thanks so much! I don't think I ended up making it. I've been meaning to make more videos but this summer, I didn't have the time. I'm hoping to get back to RU-vid-ing in the fall!
Thanks so much, Karina! I print my photos at Costco (when I have a big batch) or from my Canon Selphy . The Selphy prints wirelessly from my phone. You can download Pic Frame and resize all your photos! Good luck!

Hi! I know it's sideways. My videos always upload sideways and then I have to flip it. It takes hours to flip the video because the video is so long. If you watch it tomorrow, it'll be upright!
