I am a Greek Macedonian, thank you for showing our beautiful heritage to your followers ❣️
@georgesmith3022
If you notice, The scripts are written in Greek because ancient Macedonians spoke Greek. The current northern Macedonians speak a Slavic dialect, Serbian mixed with bulgarian, came to their area much later than the ancient Macedonians and have nothing to do with them
@djoker3915
It's a pity this site is one of the most overlooked relative to its significance by most tourists because it's in the middle of nowhere. Everyone knows who Alexander the Great is but only a few know that literally the tomb of his father has been found along with the palaces.
@EvaTheodoridouedessa
Epirus was the kingdom of the Molossians, the come from ancient city of Mycenae, Alexander's mother came from Epirus. Enjoy 🇬🇷💙

Loved this! Thank you! Lots of us get so excited when you’re in Greece, we must have a bit of it in our blood! I’m Scottish with Irish and Scots and Italian ancestors. Trying to find out if I’ve got any Greek at all in me. As I feel so at home there. It sometimes makes me cry. Been to mainland and islands but for some reason that one hit a nerve! Great stuff. Do you think you might have ancestors somewhere? I think you might be Scandinavian and Irish!

Absolutely love everything Alexander

So much to see in Greece.

I always rely on RU-vidrs to educate me on history. I get my medical and financial advice from RU-vidrs too. I enjoy seeing the places you visit and the food you eat on your travels, but I can seriously do without history lessons that are often factually inaccurate and highlight biases. Make great travel films. Document your adventures. Save the history lessons for the experts. All the best to you!

this is one of the reasons why Greece is world famous ...WOW !! The palace where Alexander the Great was crowned the King of Macedonia some 2700 years ago ...the remains of that palace are still in tact
@thrivingnow7843
I always enjoy listening to you tell the history of the Greeks. I forget lots of things in my old age. Thank you.

Gabe is a real explorer and I can really imagine him in Ancient Greece 😅🎉
@user-xp8to7pn7s
Metsovo also makes maybe my favorite Greek cheese, metsovone. And as with basically all places you went on this trip, I think Metsovo deserved more time and attention than it got.
@evangeliamanafi1158
Thank you for showing my country's history! Safe travels Gabriel🙂❤

This is an amazing palace. I guess it had just opened January 2024 after a years long restoration project. It's amazing that a site like this was not excavated until 1970. This area of Greece (Macedonia) must have been the center of ancient Greek civilization. This was a great video.
