Driving in the US is also a bad idea. I have been stopped numerous times at check points (AZ to CA) (TX to NM) and asked if I’m a US citizen. When you say “no” they then ask you to provide your documents. Caught me off guard first time as I had no idea you could be checked as you’re not crossing an sort of country border just state to state. Obviously I had my passport and visa etc so no issues. But you MUST take your docs even if you’re driving anywhere near the southern border.

I live in El Paso and I have a real life perspective. Its not as big and issue as it seems, and I'm Mexican American. Its like me evaluating the growth of corn from El Paso but never been to Iowa
My husband and I have flights booked on Spirit to fly from Atlanta to San Diego. He only has mexican passport since he is still in the process of his documentation. After several years of course. Is this okay?

My husband is flying from San Francisco to hawaii. He has a valid driver license. He also has a Mexican passport. I’m thinking he would only us the driver license when going to check in. What do you recommend?

Hey quick question, am trying to go to Puerto Rico and I don’t have a green card yet , am waiting on it . I have a valid driver license and my passport from my county of origin is expired. Can I go and come back safe without it affecting me?
What if you’re trying to return to your home country but have an expired US visa? Passport is still valid for another 7months. First connection is in another US state, then second connecting flight in country overseas before landing in home country. Why would one be permitted to board plane? Is it because of the first connection being in another US state & not currently having a valid US visa? (This happened to someone I know).
I fell out of status on a B1/B2 visa (I-94 valid for 1 year) because I was gonna get married (out of status 4 months and 2 weeks until I got married). Now I have a I-130, I-485 and a I-765 pending. Biometrics done. I want to travel from Massachusetts to Phoenix, AZ to see my family on my birthday. Only Phoenix, stay in a house, etc. I have all my receipt notices from USCIS. Since I am adjusting my status, I am allowed to travel within the US, right ?

Never had any issues with my green card leaving from Bush/Houston abroad (terminal D) and returning at terminal E. Many trips since 2016, no issues. Not even when I travelled with Qatar Airways or Emirates through the Middle East.
