Lovely as always Pia, the jumper is lovely and the collar was worth the reknits,. Your hair is gorgeous too 💕 Socks for me, not that I’ve knit many, I found 2 x 16”’needles with half the stitches on each needle works best. Use the one needle and knit the stitches on that same needle, then drop the needle and pick up the other needle that’s holding the other stitches knit those and so on and so forth. I hope that makes sense? I found it the easiest formula for my hands, it’s kind of like magic loop but without all the stuffing around. I think the crazy sock lady has a tutorial if I’ve confused you 🤭🙃 Thanks for sharing and enjoy the family, Karen
Thanks! Oh, pretty Lisbon - I love that city. I went every year in January for many years (my son was competing in the European Championship, which was always in Lisbon) - that city has such a wonderful vibe
Roxanne Richardson (a master knitter) has a video called "Mystery solved: When to start the heel for a toe-up sock" in which she discusses how to work out where to place 3 different types of heel, including the afterthought heel that is placed in a tube of knitting. I have never knitted a sock but I have often used her other videos to help me when I am struggling and she is very clear and helpful so maybe she can help you too.
I love your new sweater. Excited to knit when the pattern comes out. I'm watching while crocheting on my granny square blanket, a mindless project! Happy new year.😊
Hi Pia! I discovered your channel when I found your Vlogmas series and thoroughly enjoyed the cozy, creative, family-oriented vibe of it. Your knitting style (color and design) is compatible with mine and I’m drawing so much inspiration from seeing what you chose to knit. I’m in awe of people who are bilingual and I admire how you record your podcasts in both languages - great dedication! On another note, I am a 66 y/o, formerly dark-aired woman (from NJ, USA) who gave up dying her hair when the pandemic started. I’ve been trying to “embrace the gray” ever since Your beautiful hair is another source of inspiration for me! Best wishes for a happy and healthy new year to you and your family, Pia - Deirdre 😊
Hi Deidre, and welcome! Thank you for your kind words - all I want to do with this channel is inspire and empower knitters, so your words mean so much to me.
Hello pia, just got back from food shopping we dropped grandson of at a birthday party ,love your sweater and thank you again for sharring crouchet st i will have ago,i have not made a sweater yet i will one day ,keep making shawl's and blankets 😊 never to old to learn and my three dog's do not like me knitting they are like children 😮 help ❤
Hahaha - perhaps feed the dogs treats every time you knit? Mis loves to snuggle up in my projects... If you can make shawls and blankets, you can definitely make a sweater!
Afterthought Heel: Measure The lenght og your toe ( on The sock 😜 ) your Heel will have The same lenght. Measure your foot. Take The footlenght and subtract The toelenght - Then you Will have where The Heel should be inserted. Example ( for my size ) My foot measures ( from Heel to toe ) 24,5 cm My toedecreases measures 5 cm Where to put in The Heel: 19,5 cm measured from The toe. Sorry for my english😊 Hope you Can understand it.
Har såå lyst til å teststrikke sweateren, den er helt meg, men rekker nok ikke tidsfristen 🥲pga mange prosjekt pt 😅 Den er uansett et kjempefint design 🥰🥰
Hello Pia, great inspiring podcast catch up :) For my afterthought heels I use Kirby Wirby’s afterthought heel: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-616gmtAYWLU.html I have a high instep so I do knit a few rows plain first before starting the decreases. Hope this helps 💓
