In this video, we travel to another Thai island - Koh Samui to share with you the situation on the island now, in September 2021 to see if it survived the global pandemic. During our stay, we start by exploring the Chaweng Beach, in the northern part of the island. We show you how the pandemic has impacted the island, and what is the state of Chaweng beach at the moment. With half the hotels closed, Chaweng Beach in Koh Samui Thailand is only a shadow of the busy beach it was before the pandemic. Traveling to Thailand during covid is difficult because of all the restrictions imposed by the Thai government, so the lack of tourists has a dramatic effect on the whole island of Koh Samui Thailand.
Next, in the southern portion of Chaweng Beach, we explored the Sheraton Hotel and got to enjoy a tasty All you can eat Thai buffet. The Thai food was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere.
Our next stop, in the northern part of the Koh Samui Island was the Bophut Fisherman's Village where most restaurants are still open for business.
Our favorite part of our stay in Koh Samui, was visiting the Air Bar at the Intercontinental Hotel, which is one of the best spots for sunset in Koh Samui and should definitely be on your list of things to do in Koh Samui.
