We took our newborn on and this is how it went!!
Thankfully we got a ton of advice and these were some of the most recommended tips:
- Feed the baby or give a pacifier during take-off to help pop their ears
- Change them right before you board
- If you have an active baby, fidget spinners for the windows are huge
- Use a stroller around the airport and gate check it. Wear the baby onto the plane (note: flight attendants do ask you to take baby out of the carriers on take-off & landing)
- If traveling with breast milk or formula, anticipate TSA at least looking in your bag. We gave them a heads up and it was easy.
- Give yourself plenty of time while at the airport!! We had an extra hour and it went quickly after pumping and changing Rizzo!
