yes, the disability assistance is free i’ve used the service many times

If you contact British Airways ahead of time they will meet you at the drop off point to help with your bags. The assistance program is free though I have tipped members that are very helpful. I fly out of Heathrow fairly regularly and always find it to be relatively painless compared to the US airports.

Thank you so much! I’ve found the the American airports are awful! They have no idea what they are doing and I had a horrible experience so I definitely agree with them being painful.

@@JessChandler I’m autistic and type-1 diabetic. I have to take extra supplies with me when I travel abroad and it always causes issues when I go back to the US. I’ve been harassed by the TSA so many times. Heathrow is always good and even Gatwick is ok. I’m flying from Heathrow to Boston on Thursday so wish me luck.
