👋 Aussie here. Travelling in July to and from the UK via Dubai. Picked up a tip from another UK traveller that you can pre-book to wait in the Emirates “Escape Lounge” in Terminal 1 prior to a flight. We have decided to give it a try.
@@TheNextOuting I believe it is complimentary for Classes such as Business and First Class or possibly Frequent Flyers, but there is a fee for other passengers. As we are elderly and driving from Leeds to Manchester Airport we will be allowing a couple of hours extra in case we are delayed along the way. This means if we get there without incident we will have several hours on our hands so somewhere comfortable to wait will be nice. Pre-booking was mentioned so we will investigate this with our travel agent.
@@TheNextOuting we have a mix of Australia to Dubai Premium Economy and Dubai to Manchester Economy (the same return mix) so I believe we will have to pay but that is okay as we are looking for comfort (both of us just on the sunny side of 80) whilst we wait for boarding.
Good info...gleaning all I can for our upcoming Emirates journey to Maldives! Fingers crossed we're hoping to get business class for the outward flight, but economy for the rest! Good to see my old 'Moonlight Zombies' boss! 😉
I used SeatSpy and pay for the most basic subscription. Great for finding reward seats especially in a higher than economy class. Thanks for commenting and pop us a sub if you can 😊
