Hello, thanks for sharing your travel experience with OCI. For clarity sake, please mention "Cancelled" Indian Passport whenever you are trying to refer your old Indian passport. Many viewers can get confused. Thanks again.

That is what OCI for. Not reflecting the title of the post though. About cancelled Indian passports, just take a copy of them and forget. When you renew or update your OCI in the future they can ask last Indian passport number. But not mandatory.

U may have to carry old foreign passport if that passport number is mentioned on your OCI.

Bro, once you received à canadien passport, you should surrender your Indian passport.near by indian Embassy.&get due acknowledgement.An indian passport is property of Indian Govt.

Sir, you should not hold your Indian passport.Since you got canadien citizenship immediately you should hand over the indian passport near by Indian Embassy , Canada & get the acknowledgement. They may put à fine for having Indian passport. Passport is the property of India. Pl take care. Don't do this.I am also south indian, I had an experience.

Looks like india dont allow dual citizenship. Sad you are a borned india citizenship and upon being a canadian citizenship you need a visa to enter your birth country.I am proud to be a guyanese. I hold a canadian and a guyana passports.
