As you know, John is a huge railfan and former railway employee. He has been taking videos of trains for a long time. He recently had his collection of 8 mm Film (with sound) digitized by a professional processor. The results weren't as good as he had hoped. However, I (James, aka Skeena Pacific) am remastering the digitized videos and hope you find the results satisfactory.
This video includes film of the British Columbia Railway including scenes with the famous Lightning Green livery. the video starts off with a public relations event staged at Squamish, BC in the 1980s where BC Rail proudly showcased the three types of motive they operated at that time, steam , diesel and electric. In the LIlloeet area including the arrival of the “school train” arriving with a BC Rail RS18 and a coach bringing the school children into Lillooet attend school from Seton Portage.
