Hearing that these type of players want the system to be all about them got me concerned. However, it sounded like Coach Young got him to understand that playing off the ball is vital to becoming the professional that they all want to be. Great interview.

This portal cycle seem to be the moment school AD and presidents went from tolerating NIL to embracing it. I saw it at Kentucky the morning they hired Pope, Mitch Barnhart was doing the media rounds and made a point to confirm they received $4m in NIL that day. In the past he would've deflected and never addressed NIL specifics.
